Hey guys!

I am thinking of buying a 360 CS for next season but after owning Porsche (GT3, RS etc...) for quite a few years I'm abit worried about things breaking down and running costs of the Ferrari. Does the CS actually cope with hard track-driving? What things should I look out for? How long does the carbon brake discs usually last and how much are they to change? How much is a cluth change and when is that app. due?

Many question but I am after as much info as possible and I know alot of people on this forum are owners or atleast know a great deal. I have of course done a search here and on ferrarichat.

Thanks!

tonyh and 911nutter both either currently own one or have done - they've both had good experiences with them. I believe that no carbon brakes have yet had to be replaced on UK cars, which means they are a lot better than PCCBs!! Clutches should last 12-15k and are 1k to replace (at a specialist).

Buy one - they are effing brilliant! I would have done, but I only need one car, and it's a bit hardcore. Don't pay current dealer prices though, I think you will see prices come down to the very low 100s over the winter.

I bought one 5 weeks ago and its every thing and more than what i thought it would be.
once you get round the fact that its very basic inside you soon work out that the car is about driving it. the way it handels, it must be one of the most ballanced cars of all time. its just a drivers car the more you put in the more the car gives back. with my 360 i drove it at weekends the cs i now take to work and drive it as often as possable. its just that sort of car make sure you take your time looking round but when ever you find the right one just buy it.

Roger's spot on. I haven't heard of UK car which has needed disks replacing. Price is £11k [disks, pads, VAt , fitting] when dreaded day arrives. The SD2/3 diagnostics will report disk/clutch wear when doing PPI. CS is VERY low slung and i have trouble getting into out of my driveway. Same re speedhumps and off camber roads. Below is a complilation of everything CS .... let me know if you have anymore questions after wading thru thst lot

personally i think your GT3 is a better car than the 360cs both on the track and on the road and cheaper to service and maintain and also to buy

You mean it costs £11000 for brake disks yikes - Why FFS.

I am taking deliver of a 430 Spider shortly - this is all a bit scarey.

IIRC the 430 has a lifetime warranty on the cermaic discs precisley becuase of the cost of replacements on the CS (and probably the debacle with Porsche CCB). So this won't be an issue for you

Tony - I know the parts are not exactly cheap but how can the fitting come to £11,000. How many hours does it take FFS.

Does anybody actually know for sure the situation with the 430's brakes?

Thanks guys, outstanding info! I have always liked the Stradale but maybe it's better to stick with what I know, Porsche. Not fun hearing that changing brakes will cost 15k Is it not possible to fit high performance steel brakes instead like it was on the GT3?
Does the CS cope well with track-driving, like the GT3 RS for example? Do you guys think prices will go down during the winter?
Anything else to watch out for?? I guess going for a Ferrari power warranty is recommended? If I find a car without stereo (many without apparently), is it possible fit one?
Many questions....hmmmmm

Rear pads £541.50 x2
