got an itch for a prancing pony. looking for a car for the next 6 months; which will lose least in that time? a higher mileage 60k 360 or a 100k 360cs. obviously the answer i want is that cs prices will go up come the summer (rofl) and i'll be able to get out at flat. when's the 430cs due? i assume that will kick 360cs residuals squarely in the knakers... thoughts?

hmmm. is general opinion that the 430cs will smack 360cs prices? 997gt3rs doesnt seem to have hurt 996gt3rs prices too much...

Read the thread on CS

In summary some cars are offered at £90k, but some are bid at £105k, most are going up, other than the one being offered down

- no clear answer to the value

How much can you afford to lose in 6mths?

Using a car over winter will be harder on it (unless you use it very sparingly, in which case what's the point?).

The CS is likely to hold firmer, but then you have more cash at risk and who knows what will happen next year. It could easily go the other way.

Also, the only way you're going to liquidate either of these is through a dealer. Therefore figure to lose an absolute minimum of 3k (buy well privately, then SOR it quickly if you;re lucky), and probably much closer to 10k.

only 10 rhd tdf CS' were made so it's not a question of them being unpopular. Buyers either want that colour or not.

You'll get kicked in the knackers which ever you buy to be honest.

I've had several Ferraris and the stories always the same. Be prepared to write off £30k and probably a lot more. problem is the dealers retain a big mark up, so come trade in time they'll screw you good and proper! Ever tried selling a Ferrari privately eek

Re Porsche - too early to say, availability is minimal - when the car is available prices will tumble.

just bought a 360CS after having a 360 for almost 2 years - in real terms i think the CS will take more of a hit over the next 12+ months as alot of money has come of the 360 recently and the 360CS have maintained their prices well, and the CS will in some ways be affected by a 430CS (or whatever it will be called) but the CS cars that are in the uk are low in numbers and are much more highly regarded and will consequently maintain better residuals, and as i have been VERY lucky to recently have changed from a 360 to a CS there is an incrediable difference. so if you can go for the CS and enjoy it ! but then i am biased ! it is an astonishing car............driving

the noble is quicker than a standard 360 - the back straight at bedford autodrome is 'just' long enough for me to be overtaken by one ! but its a different type of car albeit quicker !
