Richard Lurkins has reappeared in the west country.....I found out by attending a dinner party in the west country and drove up in a Ferrari - only to be told that someone knew a "friend" of mine who had mentioned me by name. I did meet Richard a couple of times - but I never bought anything off him - didn't feel like a kosher set-up to me....He was trying to make this guy buy a car from him......

I feel for the staffin the office, ie there was a black guy can't remember his name, who had no idea what was going on, he kept telling me that Richard was sound and that he was very trustworthy, little did he know, I bumoed into him a short while after he told me he that Richard owed him and others wages, this guy needs a right slap! Talks with a silver spoon in his mouth and is scum of the earth, robbing people of their hard earned money, I accidently found this forum through putting a search in for Rosso Corsa to find out what happened to him, someone else reportedly went in there with a truck and started ramming the Cars he had parked up in the yard until he got his money, guess what? He got paid! Very interesting to read the posts here though,

Happy Easter Guys!

hi guys so i just typed in Richard lukens to investigate and gain some background knowledge of this guy as I think i am one of the victims associated as being a new target on my Ferrari 355, or maybe not.

So the story is; I recently started experiencing a misfire on the vehicle so I have just taken it to a garage situated right next to me which goes by the Fiorano Cars in west london southall.

I have just received the draft copy of causes that could be associated with the misfire or faults that have been identified. I was wondering if some with a bit more mechanical and technical knowledge could shed some light on this.

At least half of that is codswallop. You can't pick fault with the oxygen sensors until the basic misfire has been remedied. Of course slow down/lamda sensors will be all over the place with unburnt fuel all over the gaff. In 20 years working on f-cars I've never seen a lamda sensor cause a headgasket to fail. No mention of error codes or even any meaningful suggestion as to what the actual cause of your misfire is. Oh, and your car doesn't even have EGR so quite how they will test it is beyond me. £504 for no answers whatsoever... Get your car, and Run away. Don't look back...

Get your car back and run away as fast as you can. Then go to either QV or Autofficina. Either one will give you a proper diagnosis and price to fix.

As above... sleep outside until he opens and take your car back asap

I was round at his place back in 06 and they were on the way up to a car show in a customers testarossa to Birmingham
I'm sure 300 miles on the car the guy would have been delighted having left it in their care

My god. Grab a few mates to ensure there's nothing to stand in your way and go collect your car. Companies House is your friend and a little homework will show you the character of this business.

Companies House shows far too many companies with the same/ similar current/ previous names that are dissolved and/or have been in liquidation.

Rather than work out who has been doing what through which company, the easiest and safest route seems to be to simply avoid.

Exactly, and ran by the same man (although he did use a slight variation on his name). It speaks volumes and enforces the fact that we have some very real problems with how we allow individuals to operate in this country. Think about how the cowboy builders behave, leaving a trail of distraction in their wake, shafting their customers whilst managing to avoid prison. This is exactly the same.
