You may well have read posts on other forums about Richard Lukins and Rosso Corsa, previously I have posted here to warn others but post has been pulled. However, now that Rosso Corsa Sales has gone into liquidation and the Official Receiver and the police (Wembley CID) and the Public Interest Unit are all involved I feel it appropriate to warn others to stay well clear of this character.

There are over 15 people I know of who are owed money, typically £15k and upwards, and with no prospect of ever seeing their money again. This has not however deterred Richard Lukins from continuing to trade.

If these forum sites are to be of any use other than exchanging experiences, tech info etc then I believe this is a very credible way to benefit from them as I would not wish anyone to fall into the same trap as I and many others have done.

yikes now thats a shock. I VERY VERY nearly bought a gorgeous black Testarossa from him/the company about 18 months ago.

Do you have any other info to share with us reguarding this ? Very interesting indeed !

I have plenty.

Currently he is still trading under the Rosso Corsa name even though Rosso Corsa Sales Ltd and Rosso Corsa Workshop Ltd were both liquidated earlier this year. The Official Receivers office tells me that there is nothing they can do to stop him doing this even though he has £10,000's of people money like myself either taken in deposits for cars or in SOR arrangements (I've learnt my lesson there!)

I have made sure I've kept to the facts here to protect the integrity of the forum but can gladly provide more information if you email me at artcar21@yahoo.co.uk

Edit - Sorry, just noted that the link won't actually get you in. Sign up and do a search under "Lukins".

If its a separate company with a separate shareholding then he can do what he wants.

The problems they had are well documented. do a search on Fcars.co.uk or Ferrarichat for 'Rosso Corsa' get yourself a nice cup of tea and make yourself comfortable because you could be reading for a while.

Or all night in fact.
I still can't understand just how people are still being taken in by him after so much bad press. I've had it on good authority from different people that RL is not even his real name. The stories I've heard about that outfit from people in the know are just staggering

Richard Lukins used to work in IT at Barclays Capital , where I used to work. Didn't know him, but do know people who do.

The last thing I heard regarding Rosso Corsa was his driver became Director of Rosso Corsa (coachworks) and that was what they were trading under

I must have been one of the lucky ones, another guy who lives very close to me also had a 355 for sale with this Richard, I had a 360 F1 2002 on SORwith him, it was only approx 1 year old, he kept trying to fob me off with excuses, so I threatened him on the phone and eventually went down to the site in Park Royal, he eventually did an electronic transfer while I was there into my account, boy I was very lucky, I knew this guy seemed dodgy and made sure he wasn't going to rob me, my neighbour also got his money as well, this Richard knows who he can turn over and who he can't, it might of helped that I am a builder with a physique, sorry to the rest of you guys, I knew he worked in banking, his brother also worked in banking, but they don't speak to each other, I also met Richards wife once seemed a nice lady, but I feel for her now.
