'Obvious eyesores mondial/308GT4' - that's really a cruel blow to the people that love and have worked hard to afford these wonderfull machines. Not everyone if fortunate enough to be in a position where they can splash out, or even get a loan, on a more exensive model; not to mention the added benefit of being true four seater performance cars.

The style of various supercar models will always be a subjective topic, just like the debate about the best looking woman in the world!

Parking in Disabled bays while not actually being disabled does not really have a valid excuse. Two wrongs dont make a right and really it should go without saying that not everyone who owns a Ferrari, Lamborgini, etc. is arrogant, concieted or selfish.

Please, I ask all car enthusiasts on Piston Heads not to actively promote hating out of car one-up-manship. Lets face it we all enjoy our cars, doesnt really matter if its got a Ford Badge on or Ferrari, think of the enjoyment you get from it and lets not forget there will always be someone with better toys (and worse!) in every walk of life!!!!

Lot of naivety on this forum, that or just thickos. Whilst I have every sympathy for the disabled there are many with passes that are not in wheelchairs. My mates dad has a disabled parking pass yet he's perfectly able bodied - hes just a drunken blurt. My mate borrows the car and parks in the spaces due to his laziness. This is just another example in this country of a system that is abused.

I wouldnt park my Ferrari in a disabled spot but I dont blame anyone who does. Let me ask you this. If they had special spaces for exotic cars in the local Asda. Are you telling me you'd never see an 88 plate fiesta 1.1 popular plus in the exotica section. LOL.

Regardless of whatever car I happen to be driving I would never park it in a disabled space, period. What gives me the right? Just because you see someone steal something from the local Asda doesnt give you the automatic right to do the same, the same applies with parking violations. I understand the frustrations when others dont play fair but lets face it there will always be someone scamming the rules and abusing the system. If you feel that strongly about it vote with your feet and write a letter to your MP. Thats the only way rules in this country get changed and not just by breaking the laws.

There are many cars/owners that park in disabled bays that should not. In this case the 430 owner has been isolated I suspect because he/she owns a 430 and not a Japanese Ferrari copy

This would probably not have been posted if the car had been a 1992 Ford Mondeo LX.

So you think that to be 'disabled' you must have a wheelchair, and anyone who doesn't have a wheelchair doesn't need a disabled space? What did you say about naivety...or was it thickos?

It's a fact of modern life that newer cars are progressively uglier. Simply confirmed by looking at the previous benchmarks; porsche 993, aston db7, ferrari 355, any pre bangle bmw, anything french or japanese. Few marques break this bad habit. Except audi, who remain constant.

p.s

The gallardo is sex on a stick.

You are winding the owners of these cars up, right?

"Deserves the badge" - I assume you refer to the 308GT4 and the Mondial? These cars were designed to be four seater cars with supercar performance. They both perform that function and have stood the test of time, given that there are so many still on the road (name me another car from that era capable of carrying four people, doing 150mph and still worth north of £10k) . They were designed by Bertone/Pininfarina, hand made in Maranello and come from racing pedigree.
How are they not 'worthy'?

Also in reference to your 'deserving a badge' comment I would imagine your Peugeot 406 carries a Pininfarina badge.....

I think most new cars are are very tidy looking, design has changed because of passenger/pedestrian safety. I like most old cars too. I have said it many times that owning the cars we do are like listening to the music we do. All subjective. I cannot understand someone who likes a 360 but not a 430 to the average non car person they would probably not tell the difference.

I would agree the Mondial is not one of the most elegant Ferrari's. I do prefer it to the 308 (Magnum) though I know I am in the minority. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I would also agree that if I used my Moondial to go to Tesco's I would park it right out the way. I have never parked in a disabled spot.

PS I like Hondas and the NSX always looked a nice motor specially for the money now 2nd hand. Always fancied an S2000 but on seeing the NSX values that would be an excellent alternative. Of course this would have to be along side a Ferrari and a 67 fastback Mustang. I have a way to go yet.

I can vouch for the Mondial and I am sure the 308 GT4, they are Ferraris with out a doubt. Rkanaga the 308GT4 and Mondial are more of a Ferrari than the NSX. That was the Japs attempt at a 348/355.

I park my 360 Spider in disabled bays all the time by choice. As someone else said, most of the people with the stickers aint properly disabled. My opinion is that if they are fit enough to walk round Asda, they are fit enough to walk from the other side of the car park where there is plenty of room. Disabled spaces are great coz a. yer car dont get dinked and b. as the other guy said, they are right outside the shop so you can keep an eye on it. Cool.

As for the 430.....fantastic machine, the Audi, sorry I mean Gayardhoe, dont compare (looks too much like a Toyota Celica IMO).

And Katanga....last time I "saved" for summat It was a scalextric when I was 9....your piggy bank is gonna be fit to bust

I would like to point out a few things. My views are very biased in the right direction.
:SOAPBOX MODE ON:
1) Being disabled dosn't mean you cant actually set up a business and make millions. So it is entirely possible to own an Enzo/Zonda.
2) Just cos you own a flash car and disable dosn't mean you have to then park in normal spaces. They are there for a reason.
2) I know of a few people that have passes that at first glance don't actually look disabled. Race them over 10 Meters and you'll soon find out why they have a pass.
3) Just hope you don't ever need a pass. It's not an option people choose!
4) There is no excuse to use a disabled parking space. EVER in my opinion unless you are disabled. If your bothered about your P&J then park it away from everyone and WALK!
:SOAPBOX MODE OFF:

I like the 430/360, but have to say my money is on a Gallardo
