was going through some of my old photos last night and i found these ones taken at Goodwood at one of the popular Carrera Sport days taken when i was 8-9 years old, was just wondering if anyone remembers these cars, knows of them or even has some pics from those great days? I remember somebody lending a guy his Diablo and he stuffed it into the tyres, the heated conversation afterwards was most enjoyable.

so i thought id share these with PH, excuse the poor quality!

Happy days...

That could well be my Dad's old 308 GT4.

Interestingly 653 RU is still listed as being on a 1979 Lambo. So probably the same car.

LAM 207 is now on a 1994 Lambo so I guess it is on a Diablo.

I'm sure I have got a whole load of pictures somewhere too. Will try and locate them and post a few up.

It certainly was a bit rough and ready back then. I think my first visit was around 88/89

Yeah, dig them out, I'll see what I can find.

Almost certainly would have been there myself.

I've got loads of similar photos taken at Castle Combe when The De Tomaso Drivers club and the Lamborghini club used to hold a Supercar Test Day, again, late '80s. If anybody's interested, I'll post some photos?

It would be funny to spot another pistonheader in such an old picture. I'm trying to think of the cars that stuck in the mind.

There was a black 911 flat nose reg no B1 CEP that was a regular and there was a dark green countach anniversary

Where did all these cars go one asks?

My mechanic worked on Elton Johns Dino and has photo's of it's restoration after he sold it. I'll get them and some Lemans pics scanned in as they are superb!! In Graeme pics everyone is wearing a moustache, it's like a film out of the 80's!!!

great pics.

Paul yeah post some pics if you have them mate.

My best mate made a video for a Supercar Test Day at Castle Combe in the late '80's. I'll try and get a clip up on youtube once I know how to do it!!

That Countach (653 RU) belongs to Mike Pullen of Carrera Sport. As far as I know, he still has it.
I have fond memories of the Carrera Sport Goodwood days as I used to take my Espada (registered J OO7) and later Countach.
Does anyone have any pictures of them?

I have got hundreds of them. I will have to dig them out and scan them.
Some of the regulars included Vick Sawyer, Barry Martina (Heathmans), Ray Beverley (owned LAM 130 on a Muira SV), Stephen Keen (Muira SV), Huw Dundas (Muira SV & Testa Rossa), Peter Saywell (AOG numbers), plus many of the first F40s, F50s, Diablos etc.
Always remember that pink Countach (LAM 207) and a white one registered 18 5EXY. Pictures on my website, if you have a few hours spare!
Fond memories.
