360boy, superb looking Espada, but was it a particlatly unreliable example?? You have both AA & Rac badges in the front grill
Actually, the Espada was a very reliable car. The only thing I can remember having to replace, was the clutch.
That badge bar was horrible. It came with the car. I removed it shortly afterwards, as you can see on this picture.
These pics bring back memorys of great summer days as a youngster, even spotted me in one pic! I just need to work out how to upload all my Goodwood pics.
Mike Pullens pearlescent white 911 was quicker than anything else at Goodwood . . . never worked out why it filled up with smoke though? it made the best 911 sound I've ever heard! from the spec it would seem it was pretty much a Group B car. Anyone remeber them all re-lining up round the back of the track for unofficial race starts?

Although I don’t have a great amount to add this truly is the most fascinating thread and many thanks to those who have pitched in.
Although this forum recognises Bugatti its nice to see several pictures of my own favourite brew namely DeTomaso being used in anger, what ever happened to them all? On both these and the linked site earlier on in the thread you can see a couple of Longhcamp’s and a couple of Mangustas’s as well, made my week already!
The observant of you may notice 822 RAL which is for sale with Coys at the moment and looks in rather better shape today than in that photo.
Still nice to see the collections of Ric Lee, Mike Pullen, Peter Saywell and possibly a certain Mr B, where would the world of the super car be without them?
Oh yes! That Silhouette is absolutely bleedin fantastic and I think the pink Countach was originally owned by the owner of a large cosmetics company up the road in Thetford and seem to remember it rumbling around here as a kid

Mr B has not got many pics of himself in the lead so this one will take pride of place over his mantelpiece

...if I had access to an event like that when I was a kid I'd have simultaneously crapped and pissed myself
After nagging my parents, for what was probably weeks, to take me to the first of a number of these events back in '87 I recall pulling up at Castle Combe around lunchtime in the car park and Mum said I was to have some lunch before going off to see the cars (as Mums do) but before I could say 'yes please' to a cheese sandwish I caught a glimpse of the front end of 18 5EXY in the distance, that was the first time I had seen a Countach in the flesh...and that was it...I was off like a shot with my camera and my parents hardly saw me again till it was time to go home. As a Countach obsessed 14 year old I didn't know which or where to look first. I was in utter supercar heaven.
That moment will live with me forever...
Could those days be recreated again? Not for me sadly...
