Maserati 3200GT Workshop Manuals?
Discussion
Hi guys,
I have a 3200GT. and i have the red "ERROR" light which always stays on. And whenever i switch off my car when it had been running for a while, and then switch it back on again, it fails to start. But when i try again 30 seconds to a minute later it starts just fine. And if i switch off the car when the engine's warm, and switch it back on after a few minutes, then it starts with no problems. I heard it has something to do with the crankshaft sensor. Or suspension? Now how do i diagnose this problem?
Also it would be of great help if could get the Workshop manual for the car, so i can instruct my mechanic on how to work on my car =D. Would highly appreciate it.
Thanks

Hi
I´m new in this world and I´m looking for some aid.
I have the chance to be a maserati´s lover but when I tryied to start comes up a message of CHECK ENGINE and the rpm doesn´t goes up.
This car has been stopped for a couple of years and I decide to looking for solutions by myself, if is posible. For this reasons I want to contact with some one who can offer me a workshop for the maserati 3200 gt manual (2000) and any advice is wellcome.
Thanks and take care
Sigfrid

3200gt you are fast becoming a legend in 3200 circles! Well done to you for your generosity.
Don't suppose you know anyone who can offer the same for 4200s? Andy
Sorry Andy can't help with 4200 manuals, I've never had reason to secure a copy having never owned one.Don't suppose you know anyone who can offer the same for 4200s? Andy
If you track down a copy don't forget to help others and post a thread!
3200GT I see you have been helping with the workshop manual and would really appreciate a copy - no luck with torrents this week and I had planned to get it back on the road this weekend so no time to order a cd. I have had a relatively trouble free 15k miles and nearly 3 years with my 2001 3200GTA but after helping my mate (he is the mechanic!) in getting the radiator out for a re core I want to make sure the box full of plumbing goes back in correctly! I also got various belts and stuff he suggested we change while the radiator is out. Living in Ireland there are no independant specialists I can visit, just a £100 per hour main dealer up in Belfast.
Note on the starter motor for any readers - mines went whilst at our equivelent of the MOT and my mate took it to a chap who does starter motors and alternators. Turns out it is a big enough job to get to but its a peaugot/citroen part at £70 ex vat instead of the maserati price of £450+ (just swap new for old mounting bracket I beleive). By the time I had found that out it was fixed by replacing a spindle (or something) - €200 all in so that cant be bad.
cheers

Hughjegin, is that a wish list or your current garage? Impressed if the later.
You have mail.
Its my current fleet although I keep the lotus and california in Scotland - the ferrari is too expensive to have here with 36% import duty, €2,100 per year tax and nobody to sell it to when a change is required. Classics have no import duty and €45 tax - the db6 used to be my company car (until I bought it from my company) as the benefit in kind tax was based on list price new with no restrictions so at £4,200 new it made sense. A DB9 like yours was €300,00 new in 2006/2007 when the ex rate was €1.5/£1 and now with the collapse in the economy here the UK/IRL prices are the same - if you brought a UK one here though you would have to pay 36% import duty. You have mail.
Thanks for the fast reply but I could not spot the link within the email, cheers.
