I met Mr A at the MPH show and had a real good chat about the Lambo cars, availability, Countach, dealers, the past present and the future for his business.Im a used car salesman and so is he, yes at different ends of the market but I take people as they are and yes we are both northeners I found him really open and more than honest in our long chat about my loves...Lamborghini cars.

For what its worth there you go. D

Everyone always posts bad stories; rarely do we hear good ones.

I know that there are a lot of strong opinions about Amari on here. Mostly not good.

In all my dealings with him, Amari, has always been polite, helpful and courteous with me. I wouldn't have the car I have today, if it wasn't for his help and contacts.

I've found him to be a top bloke.

Let it begin.

Back on topic...I have purchased 2 cars from Amari. (a 360, and a Gallardo) Both cars were as described, no problems with them at all. (unlike the 6 month old Superlegerra i brought from Lambo Birmingham!!) He was a very fair man when it came to deal's px's etc. Would not hesitate to buy from him again. (he always has some lovely stock!) Even though it was a couple of years ago when i purchased the cars, i know i could phone him tomorrow just for a good old gossip about supercars, and the market in general
So in my view he is as sound as any Supercar dealer.
Speak soon mate!

I met Amari at the MPH show in London and didn't like them. Its just a feeling on my part so looked them up. If they have the car I want at the right price then maybe. Speaking of price, they had a black 2004 G with a basic spec and 10k odd miles at Earls Court advertised for £68K.....lol

Hi Chris , it was a pleasure meeting you at the show, just to update you we sold that Gallardo for £66.500 up on our return from MPH, and as for basic spec as you say, it had the following:

1.Metallic Nero Oryis Paint
2. Two tone yellow insert with black outer hide, contrasting dash and door cards in yellow and black too.
3.Sat Nav,
4.heated seats,
5.anti theft system,
6.Alacantara roof lining.
7.Nav Track,
8.Yellow calipers,
Eight option car... ie for that year 2004 a high spec car with only 9800 miles.
Plus Serviced every year on time by Lamborghini and just had brand new clutch 150 miles ago and full service costing £4500.00 Came with 12 months MOT & 6 months Tax & finally 12 months warranty by WMS.

We could have sold it many times over.

We hope that one day we can sell you a nice gallardo at a nice price.

thank you
Amari.

well, back to the OP - just do your homework on any car whoever is selling it. Personally I try not to deal with people I am not comfortable with but at the end of the day that is a very subjective thing. It is also sometimes necessarysmile

I have been watching this thread with interest !! Could you please explain why you did not do your homework before declaring the car discussed was low spec and too high in price.I thought this forum was here to discuss cars and help people in making choices about potential purchases and it is just this sort of mis-infomation that could stop someone from buying the car they want . Neither i nor my friends have had a problem with Amari but based on the amount of Lamborghinis he sells he must know about specs and achievable prices . It would be nice to know your thoughts on this !!!

If the guy has a past - is it so hard to find his name and google it?

If he's acting badly NOW - why aren't there more concrete examples to quote?

If he's worried about his reputation - perhaps ads disguised as threads and supportive posts from names without many posts and only a few months history are not the best way to respond.

I haven't been following PH for that long but there definately seems to be more dross posted without anyone checking facts now.

Hi,
I am no expert on Gallardos (yet) but the spec seems to me like a very standard spec - one shared by most of the cars I have looked at - so if I have seen all high-spec cars I apologise for my ignorance! Having said that, most of the cars I have looked at have been 10-12k cheaper than the one Amari were selling -and that is without any negotiation as I am really looking to buy in 4 months time unless the perfect car comes up. So with regards to pricing I would say someone decided to pay a £8-10k premium for 9k miles, as opposed to the cars I have seen that have 11-18k miles. That is subjective, as is my statement that I think the car was overpriced.

This is assuming that the purchase given by Amari is true and correct of course!

As I alluded to above, my main concern is that I don't like car salesmen to patronise me or look all around - pretty much anywhere apart from in the eye - but this would not be a showstopper - just something to be avoided imho. To be told that their cars are in truth much more expensive than elsewhere but thats because "they need nothing" is fine - at least Amari and I agreed on something - but in any case this was not about causing offence - it was just an honest statement on my part having spoken to Amari.

I hope that clarifies!

I have spoken to Amari a few times (although not bought a car) and he seems a decent, knowledgeable enthusiast.

Reading through this thread is interesting.
If someone has something you like for sale, go look at it, try to deal and then either buy or walk away.

Your not strongarmed into buying. And if you feel you are then dont buy.

There can often be a personality clash between sales people and customers. When this happens the situation becomes tense and difficult to deal. So walk away and buy some other vehicle.

If the seller is a crook, or con artist it would normally be apparent if you do the usual checks on it ie- HPI, contact previous owner and garage that serviced it. If you are unable to do this because you are busy/lazy/dont care then dont buy an expensive vehicle and bh about it if you get caught out.

Buyer beware is a well know saying for a reason.

That said, I think Mr Amari has been polite and reserved on this thread. I have seen his adverts and he is presenting his business very well. I would love to have access to the vehicles he does, and im sure im not alone.

The OP should buy what he wants, but do as many checks as possible.

As i said most of the crap about Amari stems from one guy on many forums. And he will never listen to any facts about what actually happened all them years ago. The rest that follow like sheep have no hard facts about the guy and have never even met him. Its all a game of whispers and every one whispering dont know why they are whispering, they just jump on the band waggon because thats the pack mentality of human nature. Any one who has started an Amari thread always do so because of some thing they have only heard of through some forum or another.
Talked to Amari only yesterday and hes is not really bothered about the usual suspect story that some how has become like an urban legend rolleyes. This is not the first time and it certainly will not be the last that the Internet bulling will raise its ugly head towards the guy. His cars are always being sold regardless.
Why not go see the guy and his professional show room, and then make your own opinion of the guy. I bet ya will come away thinking what a good and well educated/knowledgeable guy Amari is. If one was to do a poll of all the good experiences v all the bad ones with Amari. The goods will by far out weigh any bad any one will have. I have always lived by the saying, "you are only as good as your last result" wink
Oh and as has already been said, PPI any potential car you may want to buy fa crying out loud. Its not rocket science.

I met Amari up at the MPH show this year. He did make a big "B Line" that he sells more used Lambos than another other dealer in the UK & thats their specality.

I would recommend you go to a Porsche specalist, as they would caterer fully for your needs.

One last point, I dont agree with naming and shaming, but this is a forum, where members can offer advice based on past events to help others. I would ask the moderators to allow users, who have delt with Amari to be allowed to post their expeiences, whether good or bad. After all we are all friends on here & we dont want to see friends burn & learn.

Oh so your just curious. Why not ring the guy and get it first hand, he is a really friendly and approachable guy.
I am sick of telling the story on various forums, but i will summarize here. I have spoken to Amari yesterday and told him that i was going to put the record straight.....again. He said that i should not bother and said it does not matter to him. But it relay pissses me of when people attack a guy (any guy) with out knowing ALL the facts.
It involves his ex wife who was also partner/share holder in the Sant Agata Business, also his corrupt financial manager of then business. Who between them f**ed him over, and embezzled a st load of money from the business along with deals Amari did not know about. Funny how one does not hear about any of that when fingers are pointed.
Please note and absorb that absolutely All charges against Amari was dropped. And all the charges and accusations were put to his ex wife and financial manager once the truth was revealed.
Now Amari (MD of Sant Agata Cars) has reestablished as Amari Supercars. He is a sole trader and not a partner in this business.
And just in them few words above, there is more truth than any of the assumption that you can find posted on the forums over the last 5 years.
But you know what? What i have just wrote will be forgotten by next weekend wink Theres nowt as queer as folk rolleyes
