What is this showroom?
Discussion
I walked past London Group showroom a couple of months ago, there was a notice on the door - callers only seen by appointment. Shouldn't have thought that would do much as a sales strategy, especially in a recession and this exotic location of Park Lane. Cadillac showroom had an appointments only label too. Hopefully this new (Broughtons?) showroom will be more welcoming.

It's Bob Forstner, rather than Broughtons. I guess it would probably be by appointment only too. The HR Owen Lamborghini one is the same. If they are trying to do a sale I don't think the person willing to pay £1 000 000 would appreciate lots of people getting in the way. It would also end up with the cars being touched all the time by the public, which is a problem at a lot of shows, let alone beside a busy road in a showroom that is open all year round. However some of these showrooms are willing to talk and let you see the cars if you phone up before and show you're properly interested in the cars.all seems a bit odd to me, must be a hugely expensive showroom to lease yet it isnt that nice an area (top of park lane/oxford st is grubby), is somewhat impractical and cant see them selling many cars. Most of the other showroom on park lane i would think have some kind of manufacturer support
anyhow just curious

Afternoon all,
I thought it about time to post something on here to clarify for you all what is going on in Park Lane. I have to say I have been watching the posts and pictures with great excitement.
We are slowly bringing the showroom in Park Lane to an opening date in the first week in April and are currently in the final negotiations of securing two or three super high end low production main dealer franchises.
Speculation has been that Mr. Pagani has been to open the showroom already, this is not the case he has been over only for some lunch and further talks.
Regarding visits to the showroom we are currently closed during the refurbishment as the showroom is in no fit state for any visitors but following the launch in April I would welcome any visitor from PH. I would just ask that you call or email me ahead of any visit to ensure we are available and please just be honest if you simply want to look at the cars. It is not a problem in fact only a pleasure as I am sure HarryRiddles and others will tell you we are a very friendly bunch and prefer to be told your intentions rather than led on a wild goose chase.
The showroom on Park Lane will become a very exciting venue and I hope that it will continue to excite many petrol heads who are fortunate enough to pass the window.
We look forward to seeing you all soon,
Tom
p.s. Some pictures from inside the fish bowl!

Likewise, I sent you a text yesterday.
It's good to see that there is confidence out there despite the fragile nature of the economic climate.
We've met three times - a) Pangbourne b) Silverstone c) Cheltenham
I shall look forward to seeing you again in new surroundings.
The very best of luck again, Tommy.

Hey Tommy, I happen to be in London this Saturday. I understand you must be busy with the showroom but was wondering if you will be in the showroom? The place looks absolutely stunning, some amazing cars in there.Tom
The best of luck with the new showroom. You are indeed a friendly bunch, not just people who sell cars but those who are interested and enthusiastic about cars.

If you want to sightsee make sure you look at the Dorchester's car park.-Harry
This morning there were 2 Lamborghinis, a Rolls Royce roadster and a cream and chrome coloured Veyron.
