Have to say I still think they look stunning, do they do RHD and how much do they go for I wonder?

The front of the Wiesmann has massive 'TVR' overtones to the styling, I think that's why I like it.

They do make RHD cars. If the Spyder looks good, have you seen this years Aileron? It is a coupe/GT rather than open top. Pricing for the Spyker range is in the region of £180k across the board.

That said, I would give limbs etc for an Aeromax, just gorgeous, and they make a spine tingling good noise.

Good luck with your new car, whatever you decide on.

Why spend £200k on a Spyker, when for 'just' £30,000 you could have this?

Jesus, it looks like a Spyker raped a 355 and had a mongoloid child....

there is a good thread on lambopower.com done by a guy that got one recently, will try to find it for you, he spent a day testing the range and ended up going for the C8 I think.

Stunning looking cars wish you best on what ever you do

I like Spykers but I find it unfortunate that the running gear seems to be bog standard Audi. I've seen plenty of road tests where the opinion has been 'really easy to drive'. Now that's not necessarily a bad thing but if you think you'd be bored of a Flying Spur or similar... I dunno, just tread carefully!

I think a Morgan Supersports ticks the boxes, personally. Hand-made, rare, beautiful, option of a modern auto, sounds wonderful, won't depreciate like a stone, etc. etc...

Sounds like one of those situations where your future is behind you Bertie. Rather than take a bath on a new, yet to prove itself piece of kit, buy yourself a copy of Classic & Sports Car. Lock yourself in the bog and have a look thrugh the classifieds. There are just so many charismatic, fun cars out there that cost peanuts compared to all the badge stuff. If you don't see a couple that stop you in your tracks, I'll eat my shoes. I really lucked out with the little 1985 930 turbo; fast, LOADS of fun, brinmming with character and less than Eurobox money. If I had to keep just one car, this would be it. All the fun, none of the tension of owning something expensive. It's really quite liberating, and just as well I don't own a barn. Seriously. Lancia Stratos would be in there like a shot for starters..

Buy a Spyker. Bags of character, sounds like a Spitfire, magnificent to look at, and a challenge to drive well. Also a sensible size to drive around town, although the lock is appauling, and the brakes are not servo'd (on the early ones at least) which takes some getting used to. There is also nowhere comfy to rest your left knee when driving, as it is set upnfor LHD. Go and look up "Rattling the hills in a Spyker" on YouTube. If you want advice, speak to Tommy Wareham who I think I am right in saying is the world's most successful Spyker salesman.

I love them, they sound awesome and are pretty rare.

I was lucky enough to come across this one on the M25 a few years ago... lovely car.

I have to say, the back window arrangement there does look rather like a dogs breakfast, Jesus, I hope thats somewhat better resolved now?

Wen't out for a blast in the Lambo at the wekend, roof off...............hmmmmmmmmmm.biggrin

It's not exactly a cirical position to be in I know, but I'm very torn.

I can't see that anyone's suggested one yet, so thought I'd mention; if you're looking for character and a bit different, have you looked at Koenigsegg prices?

I have no idea if I spelt it right, but I gave it a shot smile
