It's been my dream car for as long as I can remember and it was as good as I dreamed
George
Tell us what it was like to get a run in it.George
There's an intercom so that you don't go deaf and so that you can talk to the driver.
When on the move, the car is VERY loud, but it's not engine noise, it's noise from the straight cut gearbox. The ride is very hard as you'd expect for a racing car and on some of the crappy roads of Sussex it was very noticeable. The steering is very direct and it turned it very easily. Then you get onto the power. wow. The owner didn't really give it that much as obviously we were on public roads and there's no point taking risks on getting caught. The traffic was awful too He did go up a few gears though and it was a tremendous feeling.
The other interesting thing is the looks on other road users faces as you pass them. Some are thinking 'what the hell is that', but if they know they will be going 'oh my god' or something to that extent! Every single person has to double take though!

Can I ask a quick question as I have never actually seen the car in the flesh, is it red or pink??
It's fluorescent pink. And incredibly hard to photograph!Your selection of photos are wonderful George. It's rare for a photographer of your caliber to get access to an F1 and your results are fantastic - thanks for sharing!
