PIck up my 3200 gt from meridien tomorrow. I dont usually get excited about anything but it's like christmas eve. THanks for online and offline help from the forum which was invaluable in A) deciding that the 3200 was a viable everyday car and B) letting me know that it was alex's car and that it was a good 'un.

Would like to meet up with other south cost owners whenever possible.

Thanks again, and dont expect any posts from me tommorow. ( and this great week all started with a fine win for saints against totenham )

Well done! I hope it's as good for you as it was for me (I was talking about the car). If you decide to sell it in a few years send me an email as I may want it back.

Cheers

Congrats, I did exactly the same thing a few weeks ago (right down to buying from Meridien) and still get excited every time I go to drive it. I'm sure you will enjoy the car immensely.

congratulations, you'll love it!

I think you'll enjoy that particular car and could maybe surprise some of us other 3200 owners if you came to a vmax day

Congrats Ian, glad you like it!

Starting to think that it's going to be worth having a PH Maserati day sometime over the summer!

For starters, anyone fancy an informal PH convoy to the Auto Italia festival at Stanford Hall on June 6th? It includes the Maserati Club's Concours as part of the event. I've never been but apparently there were approaching 100 Maseratis there last year.

sounds interesting chris.
Bruntingthorpe is only a couple of miles from Stamford Hall too!!!!!

Seriously though would be great to see that many Maseratis in one place.

Might be worth starting a thread on that and seeing what the response is likely to be...

Day one, 126 miles, and I haven't been anywhere, but got there very quickly. Stopped smiling while I slept, woke up grinning (which raised an eyebrow from the wife)It is a very understated car, which was a requirement of mine, not wanting my customers to feel I am making too much money from them. (which I am not..honest) Only stalled once. One downfall is the stereo. No where near good enough for the car, but then I usually upgrade most stereos. Worst stereo of any car I have owned by the way goes hands down to BMW 5 series. A fantastic car with a terrible, dire sound system. Has anyone retro fitted a motorised screen Sat Nav and had conflict problems with the heater controls? Like the idea of meeting up, even if its just for a run through the forest and a meal back in Lyndhurst? A friend of mine owns a fantastic Italian restaurant a few hundred yards from Meridien. Any excuse to drive and eat.
