I posted this to FerrariChat, but I figured I'd ask the same here in case anyone (Manu ?) is listening..

Since I've had the Challenge exhaust fitted to my 360 (which sounds ace by the way) it pops + bangs on overrun when cold.. this sounds rather cool and I trust it's doing no damage (?).

I'd quite like to have the car do this all the time, is this possible or is the ECU too smart ?

Teaching granny to suck eggs probably GT2bloke but the pops and bangs are unburnt fuel making it's way into the exhaust...overfueling when cold (good old fashioned choke) is whats doing it I guess. You could theoretically get the ECU played with to always overfuel...you'll be down on power though...
My only concern would be possible bore wash and subsequent oil degredation..but frequent oil changes would keep this in check.

I would also wonder what fuel being burnt in the exhaust system is doing to the cats (if you have them) and the silencer packing...

It does sound good though - flames are even better. These things can be programmed into the ECU with changes to the fuelling on over-run. But I would think it would be expensive to reprogram a Ferrari ECU!

wouldn't fancy having to fork out for a bottom end rebuild on a 360 engine due to premature bore wear !!!
