Calling all Maserati owners.

Several of us have agreed to meet for lunch on Sunday 25 April 2004. The venue is the Rose and Crown, Thorpe, Surrey. Thorpe is just off J12 of the M25.

Families are welcome.

Time to be confirmed. A map showing the location of the pub will be posted here shortly. For those who want to participate, we are planning to meet at the pub about an hour before lunch for a short drive in the area.

If you can join us, please send me an email (through my profile) so we know numbers and can book enough spaces for lunch.

We hope you can join us.

Nick

Tables have been booked at the Rose and Crown pub in my name, so here's the plan.

TOUR THEN LUNCH

If you want to participate in a short tour with an optional visit to Maranello's, then the plan is to meet at the pub at 11.15am and depart at 11.30am. We will then get back to the pub for 12.30pm.

LUNCH ONLY

Meet us at the pub at 12.30pm.

DIRECTIONS TO THE ROSE AND CROWN

Mr Tony will post these later today/tomorrow.

regards,
Nick

The pub is shown on the map with the 'P' carpark sign next to it.

Easiest way to the pub is take the A30 (towards bagshot) off the M25.

At the roundabout follow a30 signs for Bagshot (you'll drive down the dual carriageway past Maranellos).

At the roundabout with the BP garage / MAranellos head up the hill (stright across).

About 2 miles along the A30 at the second set of traffic lights, by a Total garage turn left (signposted Virginia Water).

Stay on this road, over a roundabout, through the virginina water village, through a set of traffic lights.

After the lights the pub is 1/2 a mile on your left, a couple of hundred yards after the small saab dealership on the right.

You really can't miss it as it's stood on it's own and it's pretty big - Called the Rose and Crown!

Great fun at the weekend, spent a couple of hours checking out a route for us to take next Sunday. Real shame to have to spend Bank Holiday Monday morning zooming round the back lanes of Surrey with the windows down to hear the engine better!

Route is around 30 minutes of spirited tarmac driving, some big roads some small roads, some high speed some slow speed. Shoudl be fun. Will distribute route via Nick later in the week when I've made a PDF.

Well done Rich. The route sounds great. I've spoken to Maranello's and they are expecting us.

Good stuff
Hopefully they'll have the coffee ready and an M12CS for us to test drive

Route is a good short blast, but it's not the Targa Florio or anything so don't get toooo excited!!

I asked for us each to have a new QP, Trofeo or Gransport awaiting our arrival. You can guess the answer. Suppose we'll have to make do with a tepid cup of coffee.

Blatant Thread Hijack !

Sorry for this but as its a 3200 thread . . . I've still got the wheels from the 3200 in the garage (I bought the multi spoke 4200 wheels as an upgrade). If anyone want to make an offer we could sort something out on the day-viewing etc. I'm only 20 mins drive from the meet.

Sorry for the hijack.

Yup I plan to, unless work gets in the way or that Check Engine Light is a major issue.

David, just spoken to a mate of mine who is a Maserati mechanic. You probably already know this, but the sensors for the "Check Engine" light have a habit of going....

Hope to see you next week.
