I would have to have at least 1 Mclaren F1 in any collection like that...
Me too!

I think this is a great collection, proper classics and the best modern offerings. I think the collection only lacks the personal touch of cheap fun classics ie mk1 mini, rs2000 etc.

The Lamborghini Miura is an SV not SVJ, but it looks like it's possibly the ex Shah of Iran car.

Seems a bit schizophrenic.

One one side there's the cardboard cut-out car collection. "If I had a load of money and wanted an instant collection of classics and moderns, what would the most popular cars be? Get them."

Then there's the taste-free Emirates blingmobiles that I would say more reflects his personal choice.

Not denying there are some lovely cars there, but it doesn't strike me as the cohesive, considered choice of somebody who genuinely knows and loves cars.

yeah I wondered if it was the same car (it certainly was sold from New Orleans to Bahrain) - one day I will buy that actual car because there is something very special to me about it

Traxx, are you sure that's the same car you've posted pics of? The side marker lights and wing mirrors are different (it has some!). The colour appears to be slightly darker as well. I know it's possibly been resprayed and altered as well.
If you read the other thread Mo says himself that it's the ex-Shah of Iran's car.

ETA: Completely missed that someone already said that above - sorry!

Lord Mexborough has a very comprehensive Porsche collection.

Does anyone remember 'The Patrick Collection', housed in Birmingham, had perhaps 100+ cars, some really quirky, was disbanded about 15 years ago though.

I'm pretty sure that there is still a "Patrick Collection" ,but its not as big as it was in it's heyday and is no longer open to the public.

Which one? Two different cars I'm afraid.
Yes, that was what I was pointing out. There are several differences between the SV in the full set of photos at the start of this thread and the photos Traxx posted. I've seen other photos of the ex Shah of Iran car and they are the same as the one on this thread (in full set). If the car Traxx posted is the same car, then it has undergone some changes, (front and side indicators, wing mirrors are obvious).

Regarding the other thread, I'm afraid I've missed that one.

It's pity they're all in Bahrain where there's nowhere to drive them!

It's a small island and unfortunately I've never knowingly seen any of these out.. (apart from the 250 in a static display)

Rather nice collection but I agree its missing the quirky choices. From the thread posted by the owner on a diff forum, he seems to take the cars to a track quite often, so atleast they are not just garage queens.
