I am considering a change of my work car to the new Maserati? Have any fellow PH'ers bought one or got one on order?

Not aware of anyone, though there might be a potential QP owner out there.

Do hope people go for the car (I hear the orders are coming in at the dealers which is good). I think it looks fantastic and given the great things various mags hae said about it I look forward to driving one at some point.

Had a guy come and chat to me while I was jetwashing the 3200 on Sunday wanting to know how I'd found the car and the reliability. He was looking to seplace his s class merc with a QP, told him he should, and hope he does!

I agree, there are not many 4 door cars out there that are great lookers. I used to own an Alfa 166 3.0 V6. I loved the car and was not bothered about the flaws. In general it gave me far fewer problems than recent BMW and Range Rover!! The choices in this area are few and far between. I would not buy a 7 series cos IMO it's too ugly, Merc S is boring, Audi A8 is OK but not quite there yet..... The QuattroP is different, stylish and Italian so I imagine the engine sounds great. I am sure residuals won't be great but who cares I have never purchased a car as an investment anyway. Do you know if they on sale yet in the UK??

certainly the write ups have been superb with Autocar putting it ahead of the Jag and Merc it compared with it.

It seems that the gearbox was the only criticism, although apparently it now has new software to make it more usable.

I'm looking forward to seeing one on the road.
