the last manual ferrari
Discussion
got a shock yesterday in hr owen old brompton road. Saw a california in the showroom with a manual gearbox. Apparently only one in the country. Thought they were not making those.
Mind, the star of the show was 430 scud by a mile. I could have drove out straight away in it. Need to sel the pork and find some cash now.

Yes I saw that rare manual California too, here is a picture I took of it.
Its a real shame they are killing off one of the most famous hallmarks in motoring, that awesome gated gearbox. But the technology in the Ferraris now has moved on dramatically.
And I suppose this is the Scuderia you mentioned next to it...
This is probably the most exotic prancing horse I have seen in that tiny but wonderful showroom.

Nice looking California, any pics of the inside? Just interested to see the interior with a proper gearbox! Its a real shame they are killing off one of the most famous hallmarks in motoring, that awesome gated gearbox. But the technology in the Ferraris now has moved on dramatically.
Last weekend I took out a car club Ferrari California for a couple of days. IMO the best thing about it was the automated dual-clutch manual transmission. Apart from that, I didn't rate the car that highly (especially in red), tho' i only managed a few hundred miles in it so only an extended test drive. IMO it just looks wrong from all angles. Here's a pic of it being delivered.
Oh, the highlight of the car being delivered was Peter Bowles (To the Manor Born) walking past then having a chat with me about cars and car clubs. He did say; "I've spend a lot of cash on cars in my time" A very nice guy indeed.
