I don't know what naff is but to me it's the Pinnacle of the automobile. My opinion didn't mean to come off as a definitive statement.

but that's how supercars should be :
keep them functional and minimalist and you end up with yet another 911 tongue out

Used to love the purity of the original but even they look a bit kit car nowadays, no matter how few are left. Those updated to F and beyond spec are rather chintzy to say the least. It's almost as if its the type of car bought by someone who made some money flogging bathrooms (why did I give that game up?) wink

I can appreciate them but a Gordon Murray would be my port of call.

I can definitely see this. Some people on Zondaforums are getting upset that F and C12s are being converted to 760 spec/one off. I personally love it. To me I think the Zonda peaked when the mileson and the Arrivederci became known. Big fan of the shark fin, double wing, air scoop, irridescent color changing carbon we have now. I dont like the F1 but I do really like the t50. I think it will be the most important car of this decade.

I wish I bought one when they were first released in the UK, they were around £250k iirc..

If I was doing my own unique build of a Zonda, I'd honestly employ Peter Stevens to see what he could make of it. It's actually a very difficult car styling-wise-the ultra cab forward hard points almost lend it a good few straight lines or ten.

Peter's affinity with some curves would be really interesting to see-he's pretty much the king of the make over in my book.

I love the early ones but the more recent ones look like they were built for YouTubers to razz up and down outside Harrods.

The Zonda is probably in my top 5 modern fantasy cars - it is not at the top as I do think the interiors look a bit over styled and some elements feel like style over substance, but I still really like them. A Huyara does very little for me.

Yes, Zonda is my all time favourite followed by McLaren F1.

I am surprised to find on here that some would consider it naff.

I quite like them!

Hard to know values. I thought £245k was a lot when I bought in 2009. Prices now jumping same way f1 did.

I saw the first 'new' Top Gear on Dave the other day, when they tested the Zonda against the Murcielago. It looked really good with the smaller wheels and none of the later body or bling additions.

Watch the Harry's Garage video of why he sold his many years ago. Essentially the running costs (insurance/servicing etc) over a few years would have dwarfed the purchase price many times over. I'd hate to think what those costs would be today given the values.
