Is a Zonda really worth it?
Discussion
Again I am with the masses! Zonda without question. They are amazing and, to me, make anything else just seem average. It is the only car out there that I actually want to get my hands on, not an "I like it but just not sure". As has been said though I think they are asking too much for them, maybe in a couple more years but not yet.
If you can get it for a price you are happy with, then do it!
ETA. If you do buy it let me know as I may be interested in the Mclaren.

For that level of money , have you approached the factory to see if they will build you a 'F' ?
I was with HP a few weeks ago and he confirmed that that they will not produce any more Zonda's, other than the few R's they are currently working on. Apparently, they have refused several such requests...Roberty said:
Yeah I'd rather an Aventador and an F40 (Or 288GTO) than just one car even if that one car is a Zonda.
One as your supercar weekend/daily driver and the other the appreciating classic with genuine pedigree.
I spent a fair bit of time recently wondering about a Zonda, for the same reasons everyone else does, but ended up doing something slightly more mainstream (gutless?!) by buying an Enzo instead. Agreed there's an upside in Zonda if their brand continues to grow as it looks like it might do, but for the the lure of Ferrari was bullet proof long term. One as your supercar weekend/daily driver and the other the appreciating classic with genuine pedigree.
Don't think there's a right and wrong answer, both superb cars, comes down to personal taste.....

So Andy, considering you own one amongst quite a few others....if you were in the OPs position would you sell up to own a Zonda and nothing else, or would you rather have the F40, Gallardo spider and something else?
Tough call. Was alot easier decision when I bought mine as it was less than the cost of a F40. I'm not sure that a F or clubsport is really twice as good as a C12S. It's difficult enough to use the power of mine let alone an extra 100-150bhp of the clubsport. Might be worth the OP seeing if any C12S's are around at half the price of the F. For £800k I would rather have a C12, F40 and a gallardo for everyday use.

I have to say, the idea of rebuilding a wrecked Zonda as a "limited edition" bearing the initials of its owner seems a bit naff to me. Car looks nice though.
Why? Zonda's are like a bespoke suit. It's great to be able to actually speak to the person who designed the car to discuss options and tailor the car to exactly what you want. The appeal of a Zonda is how unique they are. In terms of performance, unless being really stupid on public roads, all these super cars are the same. You can throw away your licence if caught at over 100mph and a radical is quicker on track so there has to be something more than just 0-60 and bhp.Gassing Station | Supercar General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
