Deposit secures your place, balance is due 8 weeks before the tour starts (i.e. August). Plenty of time to recover from Christmas smile

Awesome. Do you have places left? Specifically, 2 of.

Hi Dave,

yes a few spaces left at the moment, although i do have a few call backs to make tomorrow but i don't think they are all for this one so you'll be fine.
Give me a shout on the 0845 number tomorrow if you'd like to ask any questions - more than happy just to chat smile

Seems rather expensive..
I have been vegas a few times this year in october i had flights with BA and a dodge challenger R/T 5.7 hemi with hertz (with insurance)for £1450 ...

And all your getting for this is a car $600ish and a few scabby hotels to sleep in. Food is stupidly cheap and gas is $3 a gallon

I would suggest you do this tour yourself or with some mates and save a load of cash !

You can do a tour like this for less money, but i think you're slightly missing the point.
The Corvette convertibles with all insurances (including tyres) cost a good bit more than $600, we certainly don't stay in "scabby hotels", and you get all the benefits of a well researched and organised tour.
It would be all too easy to go on a trip like this by yourself or with a few friends and miss the best roads, and the best places to visit, and stay in hotels which don't provide the best experience for your $$$.

With a tour like this you have a lead car to follow, a sat-nav unit, and a chase car to make sure you don't get lost or to help you out if you have a problem.
You have a walkie-talkie to be able to keep in touch with the group as well as the two tour managers.
You get a route pack which you can check in the evening so you know what to expect the next day (which is also a nice souvenir).
Lunch stops, fuel stops and photo stops are all carefully considered in advance.
And the tour managers are always there to make sure you have the best possible experience.

Guys - what do you spend on fuel on the trip.

Just wondering as I am doing something similar in Feb/March - vette's already booked.....

Averages out to around $40 a day usually. Those Corvettes are surprisingly good on fuel!

We are doing it wrong. So very wrong.

Thanks VS.

Mrs Psycho has a fuel card that satisfies the jeeps v8 thirst in the UK sadly it won't work in the us but it sounds like we have no worries at 40 bucks a day!

Sounds a great trip - wish I could make it - maybe next year. Last road trip was in brother in laws Dodge Charger Daytona he shipped over from NZ for the trip from LA to Daytona Beach and back. 6500 miles at 11 miles to the gallon!!! Somedays had five fill ups as only a twenty gallon tank. Cost of trip just on fuel- around $1500. Having said that it was a great trip and would do again at the drop of a hat time/money permitting.

I dont agree, its actually excellent value for money. Part of the tour is the craic of sharing it with like minded people...not everyones got 15 mates who are available to tour the US for a fortnight

As regards the other points raised by harsh re the tour manager, I did a euro trip with PN and that included the tour manager having to find a lambo dealer in switzerland to repair 8 coil units on a lambo diabalo, fixed same day, A Z4 whose coils failed on a daily basis......oh yes, and some berk who missed a ferry...hehe

From my own personal experience its the best value motoring holiday there is (and no i'm not on the payroll)

Wow, and wow.

Unfortunately this is not something I'd have the funds for after all the stuff going on this year.

But, wow.

Guys - what spec of vettes do Hertz have at the mo?
Are they all convertibles or do they have targas too?
Any idea what kit they have as std 2LT etc and do they have a full range of colours?
Do they have built in sat nag or should I take my own?
Have one booked for pick up at the end of Feb from SFO hence the questions....

They still have a few ZHZ's with the adjustable ride control. but they are getting a little long in the tooth so it's likely one of the newer ones will be what you'll get.

They have a range of colours, some have manual roof control which gives you more boot room some have head up displays etc.

I'd take your own sat nav as the ones they have are pretty rubbish and as far as i know they are all convertible.
