Sunday Service - Cancelled

Weather stops play for Silverstone Sunday Service

PistonHeads and Silverstone are sad to announce the cancellation of this weekend's Sunday Service due to the changeable, severe weather we are currently experiencing.

It’s the first time a Sunday Service has been cancelled due to the weather but Silverstone has made a call based on its experience of what conditions will be like at the circuit. In addition, both parties feel it is unwise to expect event staff and PHers to travel on icy roads in minus temperatures and it would be safer to move the event in the hope we will have better weather in a few weeks time.

Silverstone told us, “In view of the continuing widespread adverse weather conditions,  we have taken the decision to postpone this weekend’s PH Sunday Service to Sunday 18 March.  We apologise for the inconvenience but the safety of our customers has to be a priority.”

The good news is we already have a new date planned, so we will return to Silverstone on Sunday 18^th March. We have moved the calendar list over already so your place on the list (if you have signed up of course) is safe, but please remove yourself if the new date is inconvenient.

Sincere apologies from all at PistonHeads and Silverstone, it wasn’t an easy decision to make but Silverstone has shown their keenness to host us by already giving us a new date for another meet and we hope you can all join us in March.

In the meantime, we blame Michael Fish……

Calendar entry in March hasn't carried the list over. Do we need to sign up again, or are you in the process of copying the existing list over?

A shame for sure. I hope your planning on sending out an email to all those who might not have a chance to check the site between now and sunday. I bet a few people still turn up.
