Even though the name has changed, the unique part of the event remains and you will be able to sign up for fast passenger rides in a whole host of supercars and sports cars as the owners show you what they can do around the famous Top Gear test track.
There will also be a host of trade stands from car-related companies, car dealers and manufacturers. In addition there is plenty for kids to do, ranging from bus rides to face painting, and you can also enjoy a wide range of food outlets and live music.
However, PistonHeads readers can take advantage of a special discounted ticket, giving you a weekend car ticket for just £10. This ticket allows entry for all occupants too, so basically you are paying £5 per day for as many people as your car will carry. For a weekend event, that’s great value and remember every penny raised goes directly to The Children's Trust.

Now in its 4th year, the event formerly known as ‘Dads' Day Out’ has evolved into a two-day supercar weekend called The Supercar Event to be held at Dunsfold Park on 23rd and 24th of June.
Often when you go to a supercar event you find yourself looking at static and silent supercars from behind a fence. Here you get to hear them, smell them and watch them being used as the manufacturer intended, even if you don’t want to passenger, and it’s this element that makes The Supercar Event special.
In addition to the supercar runs you can enjoy a host of other events including:
- Caterham drift experiences - £15
- Supercar rides – starting at £25
- Autosolo – put your own car to the test for just £10
- Helicopter rides over the entire event for £35
- Hovercraft rides
- Young driver training – take your first driving lesson here
Also new for 2012 is the addition of eight zones catering for all manner of car enthusiasts, while keeping the intimate feeling you expect at a car event.
The eight zones are as follows:
- Supercar zone
- Kids zone
- Interactive zone
- Entertainment/Catering zone
- Classic zone
- Manufacturers/Dealers zone
- Modified zone
- Motorsport zone
Tickets are priced at £10 per day for one adult or £25 for a daily family ticket. Weekend tickets are available at £15 per person or £35 for the family.

PH'ers don't necessarily have to be in the car club display area (unless you particularly want to arrive at 8am and stay all day which you are of course more than welcome to do) The idea behind the special PH area is that you get the benefit of the lower priced tickets but without the need to stay all day (special deal for PH'ers EDIT-Going to need to find a decent car if we are parking in the car club display area!
)Oh and if possible please feel free to spread the word of the event elsewhere however we'd be really grateful if you didn't pass on the special ph ticket link to others as it's car clubs and PH only....
i know it's nice to be able to pass on discounted entry but in doing so it limits the revenue for the charity which is why we're doing this and the normal entry prices are not exactly expensive (hope that doesn't sound too 'Harsh'

Good cause, I'm in.The best £100 I spent all year in my opinion....
£50 for a ride in a Pagani Zonda
£35 for my first helicopter ride and over the TG test track!
£15 for a drifting experience I won't be forgetting in a hurry!
Then to top it all off there was Peter Saywell's Koenigsegg Agera that was stunning and the first in the country at the time!
Cannot wait for this to come round again. Great event, very friendly people and for an excellent cause

we went last year and were dissapointed that we weren't allowed to wander round the supercars, as that's why we went, as a good photo opportunity. we were allowed access to the supercar area in previous years.
The cars are constantly moving in the paddocks which means it would be a health and safety impossibility to have people wandering around that part.I don't think the event has ever advertised that people can wander around the supercars.
It is my fave car event of the year and I will be bringing the yellow ninja

I'm Dave- the Head of The Play Service at The Children's Trust (also a longtime PH lurker).
Firstly, can I say how brilliant it is to see this up on the PH home page- many thanks guys. It's pretty hard to put it into words but this event means the world to all of us at the Trust. Without your support we simply wouldn't be able to do the life changing work we do.
Secondly, just to answer some questions on here:
I shall be going along and doing my bit for the Trust by marshalling both days. I look forward to meeting everyone who comes along and hope you all have a great couple of days. If you're a ph'er then please do come and introduce yourself.
On another note (with my work hat on), we always welcome visitors to the trust; so if you're feeling particulalry charitable and fancy coming to visit the children with your car club then do please get in touch.

Yes, it should be fine for your 3yr old. As long as she / he is ok with loud noises & a potentially hot day and lots of people. Sunscreen & a covered buggy and lots of drinks should see you right.mike88 said:

Whichever day suits you best will be best for you. Sorry for the wet sounding answer- I don't belive that there is a huge difference between the days, so it's down to personal choice. I'm sure Harsh will chime in if I'm wrong here. RedSpike66 said:
