Please scratch me and the XK140 - obviously the wrong car for this event.
Can I persuade you to come along Dave? The XK140 is a superb machine and we are looking for a great mix of vehicles. Would be great to have you there, there is always the static paddock if you just want to enjoy the day.RedSpike66 said:

Don't know how you're getting on with selling the Track Days side of things, so wondered if it was worthwhile getting one of the Track Day agents to advertise/book your event, for a small fee, or even see if they would buy a small number of places off you ??
Also did you make any decision about producing a glossy flyer for the Chatsworth event 29th April ? I'll be there, along with CliveF, and a few others and I'm more than happy to do a leaflet drop for you at the event if you're not going. I think it might be worthwhile to drum up more support if you need it... There's normally 600+ TVRs at Chatsworth and probably 400+ of those don't know about your event !
Regards
Mike
Hi Mike, thanks for the offer of the drop, Clive should also have the flyer as I sent it too him on Monday Are you ok printing as I am thinking of getting another batch printed up as the 100 I had have gone already and I need some for Grahams Caring With Cars and Avenue Drivers Club meet.Don't know how you're getting on with selling the Track Days side of things, so wondered if it was worthwhile getting one of the Track Day agents to advertise/book your event, for a small fee, or even see if they would buy a small number of places off you ??

Just spotted this.
Ex Royal Navy, 30 years ago this week i was preparing to gone down to the South Atlantic, so it would be fitting to offer a noisey TVR Tamora if you want it?
Willing to take people out if required, but won`t pass noise regs, measured at 119db @ 4500 rpm last time it was tested (at Goodwood)
I will keep an eye on this thread

I presume you're asking me to print off about 100 flyers at home and distribute at Chatsworth ?? CliveF is that what ur doing too ??
No mate, I have never been there so I am unsure as to how many you need, I thought about printing at home but it would have destryed my cartridges lol. I found an online company that did 100 A5 in full gloss for £9.95 next day so I did it that way. Not that I am suggesting you do that, when is it as I need to get some more? That'll teach me to open my big mouth again...

Hi Baz, Simon,
I'm happy to help, and will be at Chatsworth 28th/29th April, and Donnington Race Track meeting that weekend too. There should be 500/600+ at Chatsworth, so I'm happy to take up as many flyers as you think reasonable and cost effective to print.
Regards
Mike

Wow only 19 days to go! Thanks to you all the running total including offline donations is £7490!!!
This money really makes such a huge difference to the children, sometimes its easy to miss that there are others around us that need help and seriously every penny helps make the difference. If you haven't done so already please consider a donation to the charity and better still come along, enjoy the day and help share the fun:

SPORTING BEARS DREAM RIDES
How the Event Runs
People donating to the charity collection at the show will be offered a free demonstration passenger ride in the car of their choice.
Cars taking part will be presented at the show offering a number of rides. These will be allocated by the Rides organisers.
Passengers accepting the offer of a ride will complete a signed disclaimer acknowledging that liability is limited to normal passenger insurance cover.
The Rides will start and finish in an area inside the Show. This area will be controlled and marshalled by Sporting Bears members. It will also be the display parking provided for the cars taking part.
The Rides take place entirely on the public roads. Drivers will decide the route they follow and are expected to drive responsibly and obey all traffic laws including speed limits.
There is no competitive or timed element to these demonstration rides.
Drivers will not receive any reward for providing the rides other than the thanks of all concerned. They will play no part in the collection or management of the charity donations.
All the money raised will go to the children’s charities agreed by the Sporting Bears Motor Club
Drivers are expected to obey the instructions of those marshalling the activity particularly in relation to the movement of cars.
Dream Rides are organised and run, as an official event, by the Sporting Bears Motor Club who are registered with the MSA
The club has public liability insurance cover of £5 million pounds
Sporting Bears have a recognised Child protection officer and relevant policy and procedures in this respect.
