Anybody Know which Subaru was involved in the accident, colour ???
It was this car, I took this photo as he went across the start line on the lap he came off.As I came back through the paddock his standard of driving was being discussed in quite a heated fashion by the drivers that were following.
i was first on scene to the scooby (im grey RS 6)
there was a gaggle of cars, i think 4 cars ... M3, Clio, Megane and the Scooby ... Scooby was up front and it seemed to me from afar holding everyone up
my tyres were at 80c so instead of trying to chase the pack I let my car cool down ....
next thing I know, come round the corner and see the scooby smashed up now just about stationary sideways to the track ... rest of the cars pissed off
I pull over and so does another driver and see to the driver and passenger
driver was ok .. passenger was a little kid(c.11yrs) not his son, giving him a pax ... he gets out and white as a ghost with shock ... sit him down against the wall and hold him still waiting for the amublance, fire brigade etc
not good and a good reality check that motorsport is dangerous
scooby was a w/o
blue one

So not good then by the sounds of things. Any details on the end result of the vehicle and the personal? CDan only assume that was his kid in the car as well!!As I came back through the paddock his standard of driving was being discussed in quite a heated fashion by the drivers that were following.
It was my first trackday and I have to say I had a great day, I drove round like a granny but came home in one piece and really enjoyed, I think goodwood is a fantastic track easy to just mill about having fun but I imagine very unforgiving if you get it wrong pushing for fast times!!
Hope they are both ok, expensive mistake though and a shame for the car.

A few from the pit lane
Great pictures, you got amazing contrast on the colours....hell my GT-R even looks clean! (It wasn't, had a million dead bugs on it!)Any chance of a full size? If not, can I post this one onto Facebook?
As for the accident, I hope both were OK, the kid must have been terrified....but that Clio is waaaaaay to close behind for my liking, make you wonder if the Scooby driver got pressured into going into a corner too hot.

my thoughts aswel ... the Megane and M3 were both quick didnt suffer fools on the track (Megane flashed me - not good form)not sure about the Clio
but IMO, and I didnt see the smash, but the fact there was a gaggle of 4, then next thing a smashed Scooby is abit of a coincidence

I was flashed by the megane too, he was slow on the straights but seemed to able to corner at the same speed!!!!!not sure about the Clio

The Megan driver was a complete tool and got black flagged when I was out during the first session on the day!!!
I was quicker than him all day and he would not let me past, moved over to block me when on the straight. Think this is what he got black flagged for. What a t0$$3r !!!

Hi all,
Not long back in the house! First massive thanks to Pistonheads for letting us cross post on as many threads as we could thanks to all on here that came and supported our first event, big thanks to Benn and the Rally 4 Heroes guys who helped us clear a backlog of pax rides.
There were a few Goodwoodisms on the day, but we will know better next time.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, a learning curve in a few places but I have had nothing but excellent feedback. I think about the 13:30 mark, I looked around as one of the organisers, the pit lane was buzzing, cars blasting down the pit straight, the Motion Simulator was blaring out the sounds of someone driving the virtual Goodwood track, the band were in full swing, helicopters buzzing in the sky doing pleasure flights and a LOT of adults, mums, dads and children smiling and having a good day.
A very proud moment for me.
I am really looking forward to updating you all on the total that we raised and as a teaser we had managed to raise £10541 by midnight the day BEFORE the event!!
Cant wait to start planning next years bigger, better and smoother day, especially as it will be a 105dB day!
I had 5 pro photographers on track and on site and they have roughly 3200 photos between them to sort through! I have asked them to produce full size, high res images that we are hopefully looking to sell for a donation to the charity. Cant wait to share them with you all.
One final thing for myself and Simon, please, please can you take some time to email us, (I am happy to be the point of contact) we have had a lot of accolades but I really NEED to hear what DIDN'T work well or can be improved.
I have big shoulders so please be as honest as possible, with your help and feedback I am aiming to fine tune next years event to make it even better for you.
With such a success on our inaugural event (neither of us have ever done anything like this) we have hopefully caught the eye of Paul and the PH team for some banners etc next year
Many thanks again, really, really proud of what we all did yesterday.
