Count me in for at least the Dream Rides road route. I've managed to get the car down to 98dB before but the new engine is decatted so any track stuff is probably not possible.

We were at Goodwood today and it was great to meet so many people, some who have heard of the event and those that were new to the concept but still very interested.

This promises to be a smashing day out for all the family, even though it is a while away yet please put us in your diaries.

We are doing special deals for track places, if you book on the day at Breakfast Clubs. We will be attending ‘Supercar Sunday’, 6th March, and ‘Rule Britannia’, 3rd June.

Dave, there are likely to be a massive mix of age groups on the day so everybody is welcome. As you were one of the first to volunteer I would prefer it if you chose to stay with us. Not forgetting that we also have Dream Rides which can accomodate when we are not on track!
Let me know either way but I'm not taking you off!

I really fancy the track day - you gonna take part too ??

I think to get a 105DB event it has to be 5 cars at a time, probably for 10 min sessions from what I've learnt about Goodwood... that means about 20 cars/hour realisticly... I'm ok to pay about £200-225 for a track day but all the ones I see at £300 I just think too expensive.

Hi Clive/Mike,

The problem is cost! This is our first year with an unknown event, as it is unlike any other, so our initial outlay must be kept to a minimum. Costs of track hire and insurance total some £6500 for the 98 dB day, 10 cars on track at any one time, 40 cars max but we're keeping one 15 minute session to run Paying Passenger Rides, another unkown and dependant entirely on footfall. This rises to a whopping £8500 for a 105dB day, 5 cars on track at any one time, 20 cars max!
So you can see, for the maths on a 105dB day, we would have to charge at least 8500/20=£425 per place.

Obviously we are there to make some money for the charity so we charge what we feel is reasonable for the day.

At £230 for the day we stand to make £230x30=£6900 which for all the effort we have put in, in the background, does not give back as much as we will have put in, in time alone. Yes we love doing it but something a little better than breaking even would be nice.
