no critism intended Simon, it was just a question which you have answered well and made myself, and probably many more people aware of the costs and outlay that you guys have committed to, you are doing a great job for what promises to be a fantastic event which I will definately be there to support, and if I can make my sag a bit quieter then yes I`ll be booking a track session as well.

keep up the good work.

Please scratch me and the XK140 - obviously the wrong car for this event.
Can I persuade you to come along Dave? The XK140 is a superb machine and we are looking for a great mix of vehicles. Would be great to have you there, there is always the static paddock if you just want to enjoy the day.

Simon,

I am slow and dimwitted confused, so you'll need to explain to me....if we are prepared to offer rides to people on the track (as opposed to the Dream rides), do we still need to book and pay for the track time?

cheers

Hi Dave,

No, there is no need to pay for the track time. We were originally going to ask people to pay but were advised that it would make their day a little steep.

However, if any of our drivers or their friends/family would like to make a donation we have a Virgin giving page; http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fun...

but by offering your car and your time for the day we believe you have done enough. smile

Excellent, in which case I look forward to getting the final instructions, and we'll certainly make a donation! I was thinking of doing half a day on track, and half a day on dream rides....but we can see how things work out. Right, next stop...track day insurance yuck

Cheers

I finally managed to get my ridiculous insurance issues sorted to allow me to do Dream Rides, far from the most exciting car around on the day, but should be a good fun day and all for a good cause. So I'm in, if you'll have me?

Don't know how you're getting on with selling the Track Days side of things, so wondered if it was worthwhile getting one of the Track Day agents to advertise/book your event, for a small fee, or even see if they would buy a small number of places off you ??

Also did you make any decision about producing a glossy flyer for the Chatsworth event 29th April ? I'll be there, along with CliveF, and a few others and I'm more than happy to do a leaflet drop for you at the event if you're not going. I think it might be worthwhile to drum up more support if you need it... There's normally 600+ TVRs at Chatsworth and probably 400+ of those don't know about your event !

Regards
Mike

Hi Mike,

Yes, I had asked Goldtrack to advertise. Every track day agent I contacted did not want to help, admittedly I did ask if they would do it for free as it's for charity. We can't really afford any more outlay than the already massive cost of the track either.
I'll send you a flyer by PM.
Thanks

Just spotted this.

Ex Royal Navy, 30 years ago this week i was preparing to gone down to the South Atlantic, so it would be fitting to offer a noisey TVR Tamora if you want it?

Willing to take people out if required, but won`t pass noise regs, measured at 119db @ 4500 rpm last time it was tested (at Goodwood)eek

I will keep an eye on this thread thumbup

No mate, I have never been there so I am unsure as to how many you need, I thought about printing at home but it would have destryed my cartridges lol. I found an online company that did 100 A5 in full gloss for £9.95 next day so I did it that way. Not that I am suggesting you do that, when is it as I need to get some more?
