It looks nice and green but it's just so soft. They are doing a sterling job though, big pile of wood chips too for putting inside awning etc once sorted. Think it's dry from now on. Hearing the group c stuff in the back ground makes it worth it, and I have 5L extra on the tv smile
Sounds like they're making a proper effort. It was a nice surprise to get an email this morning from them about the conditions. Looks like they actually do care. Makes a pleasant change.

Hello Volks Al,
Thank you for posting info re campsite, we were going to be there today but thought we would wait and see what you found.

We are thinking of starting off from Devon early tomorrow and arriving by about 8-30am, do you think we will be ok to drive onto the camp site with a Honda NSX to unload/ erect our tent and then get over to the infield where our club stand is ?

Your thoughts would be very helpful and much appreciated,

Cheers,

Ian

Hi,

The perimeter roads are fine and your NSX would be ok, then you could stop by a grass patch, drop gear and go to club stand no problem.

Of course if you want me to look after the NSX let me know wink one of my bucket list cars!

Have a good drive from Devon, I am a exeter lad too smile

Can anyone report from the Whittlebury site ? I am thinking of coming up in the Cortina which only has skinny 165 tyres on it , thinking of bringing my 12 volt tyre pump so I can let them right down low to get onto site , then pump them back up on leaving.

Whittlebury is fine. Filling up now though. I'm by the lake drinking beer.

How did you miss the shop? It was absolutely superb, never seen a better shop on a campsite.

We particularly enjoyed the Petrolhead Pub, but not the mud or two of the mens toilets being closed on sunday morning where we had to queue to use the showers.

But I do enjoy a good Tom-Tit.

Went to the MX-5 display but didn't see yours or Tonys car ? About 5pm Sunday. Didn't have my mobile with me !
