Certainly logging in later in the day tends to only be good enough for the subs bench. I may be a minority here, but it's a pisser, that's for sure.
You're not on the list. Put yourself down because we'll do our best to get the list down. We definitely got nearly 130 extras in for the Aston SS by reminding people to take themselves off.

When will we know who has got in & who hasn't? Hope I get in as haven't been lucky enough to make the list at past events.

Fingers crossed.
We'll leave it as late as possible to print the lists out. If we can print at Silverstone, it'll be at about 7:30am on the day. If not, it'll be when the last of us leaves home - more than likely at about 5:30am.

Rest assured we'll do our best to get you in!

As above really. This one will be a bit noisier, but a set of kiddie peltors should enable you to start the boy's education in the correct way, whilst leaving him free to damage his own hearing later in life having inherited your obsession. biggrin

How tight is the parking going to be for us? Enough room to walk around enjoying the cars as we do at other SS's?
Absolutely. We'll need to be disciplined of course as ever, but I'm assured that the area we have is more than adequate. The constraint is the number of tickets we have to get you through the door, not so much the amount of tarmac available.

It's a shame there isn't a way of people having the unused tickets,i mean i suspect a lot of people will arrive only one per car, hence having a spare ticket. However another car might contain 3 or 4.
I know you can buy tickets, but would rather put my cash in the charity bucket
I think that most people will arrive 2 up. Based on our experience of Sunday Services, particularly where there's a lot to do besides see other PHer cars, this is the norm.

@Stuart

I'm sure this has already been thought of, but will you be sending out a gift aid form with the event email so people can complete this (prior to arriving) so Mission Motorsport can claim back the tax?

Meaning that if we give £10 using Gift Aid, it's worth £12.50 to Mission. Wins all round.
Yes, good suggestion. We'll be emailing out details so it would be easy enough to sort this out with them. I'll have a word.

what I meant when I said is it worth me putting my name on the list is that I have already got tickets for the whole event, so will be there anyway. there are lots of PH'ers who havent got tickets so by not putting my name down I free up a space for some one without tickets.

thanks.
If you've already got tickets, don't put your name down. You can join us in our area if you'd like, but Ferrari owners can park nearer the wing than us anyway.

Hi Stuart

Great event at Porsche Sunday & Aston Martin Gaydon.

Is this event going to be as loud as the Porsche Sunday when the Endurance races were going on at the silverstone circuit. Thinking of whether to buy some ear defenders for a child age 5.

Thanks
Current (or as near as dammit) F1 cars, so yes ear defenders would be a worthwhile investment I think.

Cannot beleive the list is nearly at 1000 in just over a day. can anyone confirm if this is the biggest sign up for a SS?
Without a doubt. Porsche (first year) the biggest before that I think. Staggering. We're so grateful to everyone gets up early and brings their cars to these. thumbup

Excellent. Some of that might be people above the 700 taking their names off of course, but we don't know that for sure.

Not sure if this has been mentioned or indeed if its happened at other SS's

but have you not considered having a PH stand there selling T-Shirts etc? I know I would probably buy a couple, im sure you would do a good trade.
I'm sure we would. Possibly next year, but our T shirt guys are a print on demand retailer, so not really geared up to run stands in this way. We've done it at Sunday Services in the past though, and actually the trade isn't as raging as you might think.

You can see us wearing shirts from the new range, but part of me thinks that might put people off wink

A bit pointless someone signing up now only to not make it into the 700, I thought extra people could pay on the day?
It costs nothing to have your name on the list, and you can pay on the day if you don't make the free list. Might as well be on it then?

Hi Stuart, do you know which gate we'd have to go to, to purchase tickets on the day? Instead of following the ph signs I guess.
I'll be honest, at present I don't.

Stuart, when will we get confirmation and info for Sunday? Cheers, Chris.
Emails will start tomorrow. In summary though; print out attachment for windscreen, turn up between 8 and 11, collect tickets on gate.

Stuart, can you clarify something please.

I'll be coming along with my partner and son who is 16 so that's 3 adults in total.

Can I just buy 1 ticket in advance here ( http://www.silverstone.co.uk/events/Ferrari-Racing... ) and then turn up to the PH car park with the 3 of us in the car?
Yes I believe so, although your passenger would need to walk across the road to the ticket collection point (I think that we're in the car park to the left of the main entrance, and everyone else will be going into the one to the right, so not a huge walk for him).

Hope that this makes sense.

Chances of 50 or so people dropping out between now and Sunday? :s

Also just in case - what happens to stragglers who make the list, but who won't have got the email going out today?
Chances of 50 dropping out? High I'd say.

We'll start the emails in earnest today, and they'll be going right up to the end of the week. We'll send the information on the event on Friday, albeit that we'll describe what will be happening earlier than that.

Well now you mention it, bikini clad girls cleaning all the PH cars would be nice. I suppose Garlick/Stuart in speedos doing the same so the ladies attending have some eye candy as well.......
You know how I said we had a plan for getting people further up the list by getting those inside the 700 to cancel? biggrin

Emails probably tomorrow. However the likely scenario (and again, this is further up the thread) is:

Gates open between 8 and 11am because we don't want to be on the gate all day.

Entry will be via the car park to the left of the main entrance. There's a gate into this before the main entrance roundabout, for all those coming from the A43.

We'll send out a PDF which you should put in your windscreen This will have a PH smiley on it to enable us to identify you if there is a lot of other traffic. On the other side will be instructions and a map for inside the circuit.

We'll check your PH login name (not your car) against our list

We'll give you a car park pass and entry tickets

You'll be good naturedly mugged for loose change (notes are accepted) by amputee soldiers with buckets

You'll enter the circuit. Following the instructions to our parking area

Over in our parking area will be the rest of our team to help get you parked up.

Hope this helps.
