Any idea what happened to the F40 LM? It was running in a very strong 2nd place until it dropped out.
It slowed on the straight to Brooklands. no smoke or anything untoward.
Ahh, that's what happened.

We were wondering where that went, as it seemed to be having a very good race. Lovely car though, lots of flames from the exhaust.

Excellent day, my Dads first motorsport trip out in years, and my first SS and Silverstone trip...was amazing, but very windy!

Timelapse video Mustang spotted @ 24/25 seconds... Awesome smile

We too wondered where the F40 had gone, as you say it had a good position... then it stopped coming round! frown

Also, I didn't see one F50? Did anybody else see one? Ferrari day, i would have expected to see one, but none at all? Unless I was blind to them??

Few pics I took on my phone that aren't bad wink

Any idea who's this might be?

Video of the 430s after their warm up lap..

I have more videos (F1 FXX etc) but I don't want to upload like mad smile

Had an awesome day, so thanks to all involved for organising the SS.

And on another positive note - my 1 year old kept her ear defenders on ALL DAY LONG! Yay! She'll be making her way to ALOT more motorsport events now biggrin

Absolutely loved the XX programme. Gutted that the F40 LM broke but atleast I got the chance to stand next to it in the pits whilst a couple of guys fettled with it.
As a fellow petrol head parent - what defenders did you get?

Not sure on the F40 but apparently, the guy who had the big crash in the 458 challenge race is in a coma.
Oh dear, thats not at all good. Fingers crossed he makes a swift recovery.
Hopefully so. That was the latest news I believe as of last night. Looking at the car on the truck it was a huge shunt!

Well, it was a hard choice between his Fiesta and my Chimaera, but in the end sense prevailed.....

......and we came in the Chimaera, with the roof off of course....laughdriving

I didn't think Gaydon SS could be bettered, I was wrong.

A great day out as everyone else has said, so many highlights to list! Watching/hearing the F1 cars up close was amazing, going into the pits to see the cars being fettled - very surprised at how good the access was in the pits. 3 x standard F40s, 1xLM F40 my 'given correct Euromillions numbers' car of choice. Black Enzo, Aventador, FXX cars - mental. The racing was also good to watch.

Loved the sign in the back of the PH MX5 'No hairdressing equipment kept in this car overnight'. Makes me think I should get a 'C*ck inside' sticker for my Audi.

300 mile round trip definitely worth it.

I can recommend the Peltor kids ear defenders. Have lasted very well with our boys and seem to do a good job.

Great Sunday Service and nice to see them being run so professionally. Thanks to the PH crew who let the pair of bikers in 5 minutes late.

Bit disappointed with the noise of the 458s, sounded like group of wet farts running around. At least the 5XX and FXX collective made up for that.

One of the best SS yet I'd have to say.

Been looking at all the great pics (took a few but checked them yet), and notice I must have left the stealth switch in the on position on the Cerbera again biggrin
Just what i feel too, Mark, with my Chimaera.....nearest I got to seeing it on here was in the background of a shot of a lime green Focus.....confused

I took a photo of your Cerbera.....just need to find the iphone lead

Did you struggle to find car seats to fit the back OK? I was the person watching with intrigue as your family climbed out, on the basis that I am considering getting a Cerbera IF we can get the kids in. They are much younger than yours so it looks like it should be possible...

But then if yours were on just the base plinth seats, they might have more legroom than a younger kid with a proper bulky car seat.

Mark.

Had a great day out despite it being very nippy for most of the day! Thanks to Pistonheads for organising this and giving us the opportunity to experience an historical event in the Ferrari world!

Also made awesome by the entertainment provided as requested by us from driver of MY04CSL on the way back down south! What a noise and the first time we have seen and heard a CSL being used as it should! It was very much appreciated and we shall remember it for a very long time!

These ones. As I mentioned before she wasn't too keen on them all last week. But after 4 or 5 times of ripping them off she soon forgot about them. Sat at Abbey for most of the day and even with the cars screaming past she managed to sleep for 1 1/2 hours.

That could get confusing.

I was asked if I say "yes" a lot but I wasn't falling for that trick wink
