Hi guys, I may be able to do this day but probobly just the last part to Guildford. Is that OK if I can manage it around work? I can bring either a '71 mini Cooper S rally car or a bike engined Sylva

May be the Ace Cafe would hold them for you and we could pick them up in the morning?

If not I am in Marlow so not a long drive on a Sunday afternoon or could meet you some where half way?

Hi guys it's been busy again this year as normal. Here are the details of this years running order.

Welcome to your route for the days events.
Part 1. Ace Café to the JR Children’s wards. OX3 9DU.

Leave the Ace Café and on to the A406 heading for the A40. At A406.A40 roundabout head for M25/Ocford/Birmingham.

Continue on A40/M40.

Exit M40 at junction 8 Oxford A40. Continue on A40 until you reach the Headington roundabout (McDonalds on left). Continue over roundabout into Headington. Continue through lights passing Shell station on your right. From here you should see signs of John Ratcliffe. At Lights turn right (pub on corner). Continue until you reach a mini roundabout directing you into the hospital grounds. Once inside take 1st exit at roundabout. There are 2 staff car parks please follow the convoy as unknown which one we will use on the day. Once parked up wait for instructions from the organisers.

Part 2. JR to the Worplesdon premier inn. GU3- 3RY.

On exiting the hospital grounds at mini roundabout take 2nd exit (right) Follow round until you reach 2 mini roundabouts (BP garage on left). Over the 1st and right at the second. Continue on this road until you see sign for A40 Cheltenham take the slip road on left onto the A40. Continue on A40 until you reach roundabout. Take 2nd exit (straight over). Continue to roundabout taking exit for A34. (BP will be on your left as you take exit). Continue short distance to roundabout keeping left and onto the A34. Stay on A34 heading for the M4. (sat navs may try and take you else where.) At junction A34/M4 take left onto M4 (Reading/ Bracknell). Continue on M4 to junction 10 Wokingham /Bracknell A392M. Continue on A392 until you see signs for A322. From here you need to follow A322 all the way. (There are many roundabouts as you go through Bracknell so please keep an eye out). As you approach Guildford you will come into Worplesdon and the Premier inn will be on you left. Please as you enter the hotel grounds bare left into the 1st car park and park up. We will be here for 30 minutes to regroup and use the pub for toilets and bar to get refreshments.

Final Part. Worplesdon to Christopher’s Hospice
GU3-1LP.

Head out of hotel grounds turning right back onto the A322.
Continue on the A322 into Guildford. Once at the main ring road roundabout you will turn left. You will then need to get into the right hand lane. Continue until you see Jaguar dealer at main traffic lights, you will need to turn right here. Should still sign A322. Continue on this road until you reach roundabout. Take 2nd exit. Next roundabout (Surrey Police building on your right). Straight over. At next junction/ roundabout (Jamie’s Italian in front of you, you need to follow road on and over the bridge making sure you keep to the left as you go over the bridge. Take 1st turning left once over the bridge onto the A3100. Once on the A3100 continue for around 1 ½ miles where you will come to a mini roundabout ( industrial estate on left). Take 1st exit as if going into the estate. You should then see sign for Chase Christopher Hospice. Drive into car park and park up ( watch for speed hump on the drive). Once parked up you have reached the end of the final part of the route. Follow organisers instructions as to what to do next.

We are upto around 30 cars so far but it would be great if we could get some more so put the word out there and I will check back with any further details as we get closer to the day.

Cheers
Iain

Really disappointed to have missed last years, the write ups were excellent, and all for fantastic causes.

I don't have any particularly exciting cars on the road over the Winter as the fleet is mainly classics, but I'll come along to the Ace in the morning with a bag of pressies. If one of you could spare some boot space I'd be grateful if you could take them for me smile

Plenty of room on the fire engine if you want to come, better wrap up warm though as the rear seating is some what exposed to the elements!

V8Smith if I remember rightly last year was all over around 5-5:30pm Last year they laid on tea and coffee and some lovely cakes that the staff made for us.

So not long now guys and I think everyone I have spoken to is getting really excited about this years run and its great to see a few new guys joining us this year.
It seems the kids are going to do well again this year with people emailing me saying they have been collecting from there work places and there friends so a big thank you to them for really getting into the spirit of things.

NOTE... Those of you not wishing to follow the route from the JR to the RV point at the PUB are welcome to make there own way there and they will be expecting us from around 2pm. We will have to leave the Pub at 3pm sharp to allow us time to get through the Saturday traffic in Guildford traffic.

Cheers
Iain

Sorry guy's but due to work commitments I am now unable to attend this great event. I have removed myself from the list at number 6 and moved everybody up 1.

Sorry again.

I have so far managed to accumulate two big sacks of toys in my dining room, and nearly £200 in donations from friends and family. Will have to take the mini now as I won't get everything in my Phoenix!
