So with just a week to go before we hit the road for this fantastic event I have been so pleased with how people are getting behind what we are all doing. I have been getting emails and messages from people saying that they have had whip rounds at work and are off to spend the £400 they managed to collect and others asking how big can the gifts be? Well all I can say is thank you all so much. All I ask for now is a dry bright day. It would be so nice to see as many Christmas decorated cars turn up as possible. Im off out to get a few bits next week for the car to make it sparkle. If you have any questions please ask and I will do my best to answer them otherwise see you all on the 8th.

Just a quick question, perhaps being daft, but should the gifts be wrapped?

No not a daft question. I have been asked to tell people not to wrap there gifts only so the staff can see what is for a boy or girl.

Cheers

DOH! I have wrapped up 5 bags of donated toys!!!!! BUT on each there is a tag discreetly saying B / G and age range. Genius. I have also had £300+ donated from friends and family via my Facebook page, going shopping for prezzies ASAP.

That's awesome dude. I am over joyed with how people have got involved this year. Have checked the weather for the day and it looks like the sun will be shining down on us again this year. Don't forget to decorate your cars. I have had lots of people messaging me saying they have been out a got this and that for the car.

Cheers once again guys.

I am sure it will look awesome. I done the same yesterday with some very bright colours.
Look forward to seeing it. Last year I lost some of my tinsel on the M40, the soft top behind me caught most of it lol.

I am really looking forward to this..

My name is on the FuelTopia site, my work have provided me with tons of presents, and my 19month year old (who entered this world at the JR!) has her santa outfit.

Now to decorate the P1!

One more silly question - what happens to the presents - do we hand them all over to the staff - or do we divide them up between the JR and Chase beforehand?

I only ask as I can only make the meet to the JR part of the run.

Hello mate. It is up to you how you devide them up. Some of the staff from the JR will come down to the main lobby with some of the children that are well enough to leave the children's wards. I only ask people to do what they can and the fact you are able to only do the JR stage is still fantastic.

Just finished wrapping this little lot up!

Just remembered my mini is wearing it's set of Yoko 48R semi-slick tyres, and I dont have any road-legal others..... If the weather is really bad I will have to take it easy and catch you lot up!!! :-)
