PistonHeads Sunday Service: 28/10/12
Join us at Mercedes-Benz World as the Sunday Service roadshow creaks into action once more
Where has the year gone? It seems like only yesterday we were looking forward to summer Sunday Services and now we’re bringing you details of the penultimate PistonHeads Sunday Service of 2012, BTaP meaning no Sunday Service in November.
Sunday October 28 sees a return to Mercedes-Benz World at Brooklands where 600 PH cars will line up on our usual position on the ‘Dynamic Straight’.
The usual Sunday Service mix of hot breakfasts, PHers' cars and lots of things to see from the host manufacturer will be on offer with the added benefit of AMG passenger rides for Sunday Service folk at just £10, These will be bookable on the day on a first come, first served basis.
Never been to a Sunday Service before? It’s an easy-going format of arrive, park (no heroics please) and admire other PHers' cars. When you’re ready, breakfast will be available inside the Mercedes-Benz World building.
Gates open at 09.00 and we’ll close the Sunday Service element at 13.00, but as the centre is open all day you can stay for as long as you like.
As usual you will need to ensure you add your name to the calendar to ensure entry on the day.
Those with a number between 1-600 next to their name will be on our list and will be waved through to park. If you are outside ‘the 600’ you will be added to the reserve list, but as people drop out your name will automatically move up the list.
Sunday Service lists change dramatically as the event draws closer so please keep checking right up to the eve of the event as you may find you have gained a space. If you sign up and later find you can no longer attend, please do the decent thing and remove yourself from the list enabling another PHer to take your place on the day.
Thanks to Mercedes-Benz for allowing us to return once again.

Shall we get all the normal questions out of the way? Can I walk in? Can I park nearby and walk in? Can I fill my car? Can I bring a bus with 50 people on? Can I bring a dog? When does the list get printed? What if people don't turn up who are on the list? Over to you Garlick

Aizle said: Can I walk in? Yes, MBW is open to the public as the PHSS takes place Can I park nearby and walk in? Of course Can I fill my car? Yes Can I bring a bus with 50 people on? No, not in our area at least Can I bring a dog? No idea, let's assume not When does the list get printed? 7am on the day What if people don't turn up who are on the list? We make abusive calls to them for 1 month
Many more to come I'm sure, ranging from 'what price for a coffee?' to 'why can't they take 700 cars?'

Just had a thought, will MB put me into the corner of the car park out of sight for brining a ghastly BMW?

Name down: Ginetta if ready and it's dry. Fiat Coupe if not: Note INdian Grand Prix 9:30 in the theatre and I think the clocks go back so not too early a start.
Laverstoke farm butties, what about goodwood farm, that's closer.

Laverstoke Farm in attendance again? Best black pudding I've ever had. Was really disappointed they weren't serving it at CarFest.

Another one new to this. I've put my name down but how are we identified as being one of the 600 on the list and allowed access for parking? Possibly a silly question and I haven't read or understood something that I should have.
