Oh, don't say that! I'm about to swap my Z4 for a Chimaera!!
Mine's very much a "work in progress" and is also a daily driver as well as being my only car - in three and a half years she's only actually let me down to the point where we couldn't get home *ONCE* (and that was due to me delaying taking notice of the advance warning signs and not changing a pulley bearing unti it eventually let go).

I've been working through her mechanical gremlins since they made themselves known (didn't show up on a brief test drive) and I'm almost there. The heater is one of those - she simply overcools when it's cold which I *THINK* will be helped by my plan to fit the later radiator cowlings and fans. Yesterday the only time she got out of the blue area on the temperature gauge was when we were sat in the queue to get into Beaulieu and then she got well up and warm! (But of course when she gets hot standing in traffic the oil pressure drops off ... biggrin)

Thing is I bought her pretty cheap and as a long term project so I knew the sort of things I was letting myself in for - a bit like gatting a rescue dog you know that you have a lot of work ahead of you before you are both contented.

Would I do it again knowing what I know now? Hell Yes! biggrin

SirSagalot looking slightly ashamed after climbing out of the passenger side after the drivers door then failed to open when we all pulled up for photos in front of the house!!

Happy to report that on the way home we pulled in for petrol and the door release was working again

Saw some of Tony Gardners photos and it looked a brilliant day, not wishing to hijack anyone but would love to extend an invitation to The Supercar Seige at Leeds Castle, Kent on the 18th May. We are warmly welcoming Classics, Sports and Supers so would be great to see you all. We are also looked at a 80s TV/Movie stand so would love to hear from the Delorean owners smile

Just like to add my thanks to Jamie and Shelley. Fantastic event and a great idea to have the air ambulance standing by for anyone that was suffering hypothermia!

I'd just like to add my thanks to Jamie and Shelly, who I didn't manage to meet as I had to leave at midday.

You did a great job liaising with Beaulieu and I was particulary chuffed to see the welcome notices out for us when we arrived.

The museum is fantastic - haven't been since I helped organise a function there myself 38 years ago when I was working for Renault UK.

And, by the way, wasn't everyone remarkably sensible on the run from Rownhams Services? The temptation to give it the beans was considerable!

You should have been at the front.... It was very tempting to give it a little prod..... (Had my sensible head on (Actually what I mean is the wife was sat next to me))

Hi all,

Thanks again for the great feedback, I get the hint that next time it needs to be a bit warmer!. Loved your comment Ian and I am happy to report that the helicopter took off with no one on board although I think they were all hiding in the Museum at the time.

Only 1 Raffle prize is to be claimed and that is ticket no 61. If this is you can you PM me. I have tried to call the mobile number several times but it keeps going to answer phone.
Thanks

Shelly

No defence to that, embarrassed as charged. The TVR had never been exposed to such arctic temperatures so was entitled to be stroppy. Better sleep with one eye open Ian!

jamienshelly...

Many thanks to both of you for a real great day and all your hard work putting this toghether. I thought there was a really good mix or "cur nuts" PHers all with the same passion of enjoying there cars and mixing with like minded people. Meet some real nice folk and had some very intersting chats.. Thank you all.

Hope to see you again.. maybe a little warmer
Cheers
Paul

P.S - Some great shots taken - I just need to see how my daughters efforts come out, still can't believe she gave the horses a miss to come along, apart from the cold she says she had a good time.

Jamie and Shelly,

Thanks for a great day out. You should be proud of your efforts in such a successful first meet. We used the whole day there, only our and your car were left when we departed for the beach!! We live miles away from any beach so couldn't miss the opportunity.

Really enjoyed the convoy from Lyndhurst, we had the pleasure of following the Zonda.

Some great cars there, so thanks to everyone for sharing!!

See you next time ..........

Oops, just realised I threw away the photography piece of paper yesterday when I was wondering up to bed half asleep! Who do we email to get the photos?
