Did this tour last year on bikes but pushed on through Utah and into Colorado and up to Pikes Peak. Best trip of my life.

One very strong suggestion if you're heading from Las Vegas to Hoover, stop into the Marina at Lake Mead and hire the jetskis for an hour or two.

One of the best parts of the trip because at that time of the year the lake is hot, you don't need a license and you can jetski up to the dam itself!!

Anyone going should read 'Fear and loathing in Las Vegas' Great book to get you in the mood although I'd avoid the drugs ( Don't bother with the movie though - one of the worst adaptations I've ever seen)

I did it last year as well and had a fantastic time, would highly recommend it. As Umair says above, everything is so well organised from the roads you drive on to parking when you turn up in the centre of LA.

Already booked for the Welsh Weekend this year and will no doubt be on tour with PN the following year as well!

go for the vette - I always rent one when I am in the states.....so much fun and surprisingly comfortable even on long journeys. and don't forget the exhaust mod wink - pull the fuse for the butterfly flaps and you will have the great sound all day long.

a small video from a vegas trip a couple years back hehe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KG41eN_au0k

We're very tempted to book actually, main problem is that we need to wait 6 weeks before we can commit, at which point the places will no doubt have gone! frown
Cross your fingers for 6 weeks? If you think it's likely to be a yes then i can pencil you in, no problem at all.

I think we'll take you up on that!

Did a tour similar to this self organised last year for my 40th, hired a Challenger RT from Hertz.

Flew to Sand Francisco, drove to Monterey, then onto Yosemite, Yosemite to Lake Tahoe then Tahoe back to San Francisco over a week, so a few less miles than this trip. But I can confirm the States do have some excellent roads and tjhey are not all ruler straight, there are definately some twisties and the locals seem to get out of your way when you appear behind them in a bright orange muscle car!!!!
Something i'd definatley recommend and i'll certainly be doing something similar again!!!

Exactly. And if no other solo drivers book then you may end up having a car and a room to yourself...
OK sounds good, can I put my name down now, also do I have to pay now (or can I pay later on?) also using the telephone number in the Article?

To secure your place you pay a £500 per person deposit, then the balance payment is due 8 weeks before the tour.
Yep, you can call us on the number in the article smile

I was very fortunate to do the American Dream Tour with Petrolhead Nirvana in October 2011. My Wife and I (both 31 at the time) absolutely loved the whole experience. We flew into San Franciso 5 days prior to the Tour so that we could enjoy a decent stay here. It also gave us a chance to acclimatise to the weather and recover from our long-haul flight.

Once the road trip gets underway, the Tour Managers take all of the stress away from you with fantastic organisation, route planning and support when things go wrong. Nobody get's left behind! With this in mind and the 99% perfect weather all you have to do is drive and enjoy the scenery. So much to see and so many beautiful backdrops.

The hotels were all more than adequate and the mid-tour rest day in Las Vegas gives you the chance to relax and soak up the atmosphere. We used this day off to have a helicopter ride over the Hoover Dam in the morning, do some shopping in the afternoon, watch a Cirque Du Soleil show in the evening (Ka @ the MGM Grand which left us speechless!) and have a wonderful Teppanyaki meal in the evening with some fellow petrol heads.

Such an amazing experience, so many memories and some new friends too! This was the second tour that my Wife and I have done with Petrolhead Nirvana and the only negative I can think of is I can't afford to do them as often as I'd like! That of course is not a reflection on the pricing as this is very reasonable. It's unfortunately my financial commitments to other things. A great team who well know myself and most other customers will be back for more and more.

Just BRILLIANT!

A few pics to give you a taste...

So pleased to say I'm attending!

Not so pleased that I'm 21 and can't actually do any driving! Hopefully my dad will put his foot down when the opportunity arises!
