Funnily enough this section of the road is on the tour, just before lunch on Sunday smile
Looks like a great tour. If I happen to be out that day and see you tourers driving past, I'll be sure to beep the horn. byebye

How I would love to do one of these. Unfortunately being 18 I can't. Hopefully you will still be doing them in 2020...

At 21 we can get you a car but it won't have a V8, more like a Mustang V6 - something to bear in mind wink

Hmm interesting, I can live with the V6 option. Just have to thrash it a bit to keep up hehe. I think I shall start saving up. Could quite easily live with a Mustang V6, Camaro V6 or Challenger V6.

Hmm even on my current weekend job salary I will be able to afford to go by the time I'm 21. Roll on 3 the next 3 years. If I save up £3000 by June 2016 that is only £84 a month (from June) which means I can easily afford it. I am definitely coming when I am 21, even if I can't have a V8.

I'm undecided about flights, it would be nice to extend them holiday at both ends to make the best of it

Lots of people who've been on this tour before have gone out early by a few days, to both get over the jetlag (minimal) and spend a few days enjoying San Francisco.
Also means you start the tour fresh and ready to go.

Personally i don't find the jetlag bad on the way out there, just stay awake on the flight and stay up until at least 9pm that night when you arrive. The jetlag on the way home is more of an issue...

I just booked the 28th-5th as per the tour dates. If i was going with the Mrs i would have gone a couple of days earlier for sure.
