Had an excellent day. Not as brave as some of you who took the roof off! I look forward to the next one.

Thanks for organising it

And that reminds me - nice man at the Shell station at Cobham opened up half an hour early when I rolled up on the forecourt!

(I only took the roof off at that point not all the way from home! )

It's starting to sound like a cliche .. but many thanks Jeremy. Also many thanks for everyone who turned up and made this a superb high speed and great fun run.

I've got many happy memories of the day :

Starting as the same time as everyone and beating you all to Petworth by 5 mins (in my Focus..)

Lack of traffic - some great overtakes.. down think I have overtaken so many cars in years..

Seeing coming thru Petworth .. videoing you all then having a shouting match with "Mr Anger of Petworth"..

The departure from the car park at Midhurst ..

Every junction that followed with a long straight .. what a superb noise .. 40 car's at full throttle

The pure confusion at Midhurst .. car's going in all directions..

And lastly at apology - sorry I was in the Focus hope I did not hold anyone up .. if I let you past it was because I wanted to hear your V8 or V12

If you mean me, I have no idea what you are referring to.

You was driving like a man on a mission - I think you passed me and a few others in one go .. very impressive.

What were the pictures like from your roof camera mount ?

I've seen the vid and they are very very good...

Shame you could only hear a singing V12 and not a popping banging V8 in the Dartford tunnel....

Shady.... get a front facing external mic

I would like to add my thanks to everyone else’s, and congratulate Jeremy for organising the best day I have had in a long time.

I have been visiting this board regularly, but never really gave any thought to any of the events. I am now fully converted to the exact opposite, and will be counting the days once the Surrey Run VII gets posted in the events calendar.

I have posted some photos of the day:
Surrey Run VI Photos

My favourite parts of the day where:

1) Following the Porsche GT2 and the two Ferrari’s for the first stint, and seeing the Porsche manage to deploy all 463bhp after pretty much every roundabout exit, whereas I struggled to put down 172. The rate you pulled away made it looked like I had stopped altogether!!! Also, those Ferrari’s could be heard above EVERYTHING – awesome!

2) During the second stint with the TVR pack and Joust, there was a point where everyone took it in turns to overtake a lorry. Two cars both went, then Joust, then the maroon Chimera I followed, then just as I was about to go there were 3 or 4 bikes that came from nowhere and took my overtaking slot. I didn’t want to be responsible for leading the pack (had no idea where we were) so drove like mad to try and regain the grouping as a large gap had formed by the time I could safely overtake.

3) Being followed by the only TVR with 3 bodies in it. That was the cutest dog I have ever seen.

Felt out of place first of all when I saw the other machinery that had turned up, but felt so welcome by everyone I spoke to that day.

Really looking forward to the next one.

Laurence (Clio 172 Cup).

Glad you enjoyed it Laurence. Sorry I dodn't get a chance to chat to you.

For more of the same (but without so much driving ) get yourself down to Virginia Water next Sunday.

What a shame we missed it! We were cream-crackered from our hols, so decided to stay in...only woke up at 10am!! We did think of you all, gently cruising around the countryside Copper was sorry, too, to have missed another Piston Hound

See you at BT&P!!

My Bullet Cam vids are now online
Not the best of conditions and the mic was in my boot, so I ended up with a bit too much V12
Still this was my first effort.... so better next time.

It`s all been said already but I have to add my ha`peth - Thanks Jeremy for the spot-on organisation and thanks everyone else for making me try hard to keep up! Learnt alot, quickly!
Didn`t know what to expect at 7.30 on a dark wet Sunday morning but I was gobsmacked - a terrific turn out and the elements didn`t seem to deter anyone from using the pedal on the right!
Definitely keeping a look out for the next one, didn`t get close enough to the 355s to hear them........

Cheers and thanks,

Gary, blue Griff.
