I accidentally managed to loose traction in my M5 leaving the venuebiggrin and got so excited by it all that I managed to pull the gear knob clean off the gear stick when changing gear.....bloody BMW build quality lol!

Great meet and some lovely cars, thanks to the organisers.

Good meet last night, always love PH meets for the variety of interesting (and not so interesting) metal.

This mighty Rover was my favourite.... amazingly it didn't blow the head gasket on the way there or the way back. Impressive.

Assuming we are talking about the black one that got a bit sideways I don't think anyone was in any danger & he certainly wasn't the only one that got a bit wayward when leaving
I don't think anyone was in any real danger, certainly ruined my undergarments though! If you own a RWD V8 muscle car, it's legal requirement that you have to leave sideways from every car park!

I can't help thinking there will be a Police presence at the next one if the neighbours have words phone

I look forward to the next one biggrinbiggrinbiggrin
Another great gathering but I would echo the quote above. There are not many close by neighbours in that area but the are a few up the country lane opposite. There is a fine balance between enjoying ourselves and applying some restraint to our antics.

I would hate to get the landlord into hot water, or worse still give him enough trouble that he says no to the meetings.

Who were the two pr@ts in the black Ford Fiesta's that cruised the car park then left only to return at stupidly high speed down the A25? Now that will definitely get Plod interested.

Fly-bys were encouraged I am sure in the first post about the event. Although that Porsche Classic thing sounded rubbish! All about the hooray henrys! I am not a fiesta driver but I can understand the younger ones getting excited

Its not about driving a Fiesta or an F40. Its about driving it like a bell end. After all the hard work ironictwist has put into these events it would be a shame if they have to go 'underground' like the Tunnel Runners have done (see what I did there? smile ) just because a couple of people can't behave.

The keyword in ironictwists opening post was "sedate flyby's". We all like to hear our pride and joys, On reflection the majority of people were sensible and only "Gave it the beans" on leaving. Thanks again Umair, once again a great meet.
And the Sport Classic only sounded quiet because he followed the sls out!

Glad fun was had by all yes

To echo comments already made, let's keep it sensible smile We've got other road users who do bimble along there but also residents/farms not far along.

Silly speed flyby's along the entrance to the venue are not encouraged, I've seen too many close call's over the years at other meets to know that if you do that, you're asking for trouble, so let's behave smile Ultimately we don't want to draw attention of the authorities as well as provide headaches to the venue about them hosting us again due to people complaining about excessive noise/silly driving (Hence why the SLS only made one trip out, and in the opposite direction to the nearby residents & when the road was quieter).

Regardless of all the above, great meet, plenty of new faces too. Favourite's for me were the 2 Cobra's, love them to bits & the VXR8's! Awesome V8's all of them!

Next one's thread shall be going up in the coming days, stay tuned smile

I think we can all take something from Umair's very 'diplomatic' words here..

Whether its deafening the countryside with the howl of a supercar or tearing up the tarmac in a 'less desirable' vehicle, we (myself included) need to be careful when finding the right balance between having fun and p*ssing off a lovely venue..

Let's hope we can squeeze in another SE meet before its Le Mans time! clap

Mrs 'Scruggs' and I are looking forward to the next one and getting to know a few more people. Although we did not eat at this one we are planning to make it a regular 'dining out' night in the summer season if the organiser can continue to set up the meetings.

If we can achieve the balance between displaying our cars enthusiastically and not being over the top then Plod may take a positive interest in what we are doing rather than a negative one. After all, quite a few of the constabulary are like minded 'Pistonheads'.

Any feedback from the venue about how it is going?

I used to go to the Grasshopper with the GTROC and we were always asked not to do flybys,as the pub management wouldn't allow us back if we did.

I must apologise as regards that as I did make quite a bit of noise when leaving in the pontiac (spun the wheels), if its any consolation I did feel like a tit afterwardsnono
