Well my first VMAX Event and very unlikely to be my last.
Have to say really enjoyed myself and wifey did too.
Thanks to mark for giving her a run out in his 997 Turbo S cab she really enjoyed it.
Meant to try and get a passenger run in one of the high power GTR's but ran out of time and everyone had started to go home by the time we had packed our car up onto the trailer.
I was in the Orange Lotus, sorry for anyone in the morning who expected a race off the line I was taking it very easy as after nearly 3 years of putting the car together we literally finished friday evening and I just wanted to get some runs in before I used anti lag, traction and launch control in the afternoon.
After the first few morning runs we had to change the rear wing setting to produce more downforce as the rear end was getting a little bit flighty at 170mph+ which may have hurt us in the long run but made the car feel a lot more stable.
Unfortunately in the afternoon after switching everything on a swift change from first to second we had a problem with the gear linkage that controls 2nd 4th and 6th gears, which when Mark jumped in for a passenger run promtly broke and I never got to try a full bore launch up through the gears. Next time Mark I hope it will all hold together.
Thanks to Craig and all the marshalls for putting together a great event and look forward to the next one.
Now its back to trying to make the car more slippery or adding more power!
Heres a vid of my best run with the gps overlay from the AIM dash.

Ladies and Gents, thanks so much for coming on Saturday, it was an epic day, the pinnacle of which was the Vmax200 record not just being broken but smashed by The Seven Valley Motorsport Team with their GTR. An astonishing 228.94mph achieved and all this despite the gearbox limiting the performance!!!
A big thank you from myself and the Vmax200 team for listening intently to the safety briefing and adhering to our requests through the day at all times. A good and safe day was had by all.
It was a big day for speeds, the list will be posted up in due course on the Vmax200 website when Rico the webking is back from his holidays.
In the meantime I’m out of the office today but will be adding more speeds this week, please drop me an email with any you saw on the vboxes and I’ll check them against our speeds we got on the radar.
The 200Club members I saw on the sheets however:
Severn Valley – GTR 228.9
Toby Porsche 997GT2 209
Nudenut R8V10 TT 206
MRC R8V8 Turbo 204.3
Akeel GTR 201
Kavi Aventador 200
Rob Aventador 200
Congrats all,
Craig

Thanks Craig and team for a great day out, I had a brilliant day, and the event was run superbly. I took a few videos while I was having a break, so so only got a few videos of the cars running at that time. Look forward to seeing the final speed list.

Had a similar & unfortunate moment myself at Overboost. I guess burying the loud pedal in Neutral is a tad better than reverse, however non the less not my finest VMAX moment.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWkYR_DjsoI&hd=...
