looking at one of the (1963! info) O.S. One-Inch Maps that my mate got me for a large part of the area we cover it has been confirm that I was right when I said my wife directing me off the correct narrow road and on to a much narrower road that wasn't, it was no trouble for our proper sized MG Midget but my mate in the wide Supra had the 'verges' running down the sides of his car and was the probable location of collecting more scratches to his paintwork just below the door handle - will she admit it to him laugh

20 years ago in Wales we went up a decidedly single track road for about a mile to find at the end of it a gate to several private homes, I just opened it waved at the people there turned the car around, shut the gate and left - so she has form for this type of behaviour

and now I have form too - 36 mph in a 30, I saw the van too late and then realised it was perhaps a 30 zone and not 40, b]totally my fault[/b] and perhaps explained some doing 25mph in other places during the day I just thought they were doddering or tourists, silly me

I'm getting caught speeding more frequently, there was 16 years between first and second offences and only 12 years from second to this one and all in 30 mph areas which normally I'm careful to adhere to but obviously not always

I am thinking of repeating this road trip sometime in the summer. Does anybody have a copy of the PDF as the links no longer appear to work.

Thanks.

I found this thread from googling and decided to given this route a try from the Brecon Beacons heading north.

I found that the road the Lynn Brianne reservoir that heads over the dam is now locked with a gate and padlock I guess it wasn't when this thread was made.

It's not a big deal though as the road to the east side of the reservoir is fantastic as are all the other roads heading north on this route, would highly recommend.
