Rich's Amazing Wales Road Trip 2013
Discussion
I have been a little late to cotton on to all this but definitely on board. Will hope to join the convoy up on Friday but may have to bail Saturday night...I'm booked into the campsite at Giler for two nights just to be on the safe side!
Rich - a top job organising, looking forward to meeting you.

I don't think Wales is for you then on a couple of the roads I suggested your car and the AMG would be best at the back of the group, you normally put the faster drivers or cars at the back of the group as the rear of a group has to drive faster just to keep up but in these cases it's because the wider and lower cars will slow the group up if they're at the front
on a PH run in England last year when we stopped I asked the Noble driver who'd been behind us for a good way of the run why he hadn't come by us in our humble Midget and he said he was quite happy to watch us negotiate the twistier bits and had expected to see us facing the other direction in the road on a couple of them, this surprised me as my wife was in the car with me when I told her this even 'the verbal handbrake' said I was driving well within my limited ability let alone that of the car's - I think some owners don't drive their own sports cars enough to realise their car's full capabilities so don't know how to judge what any sport car should be capable of even a very low priced parts bin BL car of the 70s
not long now lads

More than happy to be at the back and I have no intention of testing my cars limits on a public road. This is why we have things called track days :-)on a couple of the roads I suggested your car and the AMG would be best at the back of the group, you normally put the faster drivers or cars at the back of the group as the rear of a group has to drive faster just to keep up but in these cases it's because the wider and lower cars will slow the group up if they're at the front

neither should anyone, I certainly don't, passed that decades ago, which is why I thought a Noble driver would have recognised when a car in front of them is going round well within it's limits, perhaps he though because it's a bit scruffy like its owner that it wouldn't be in very good mechanical condition - to be fair many classics are in poorish mechanical condition driven by owners that rarely drive them so have no idea of the car's true capability or their capability of driving them - mine's a daily use classic, tours, club runs and holidaysand he probably didn't know about the upgraded suspension

very useful for cars that can easily go above the national speed limit, so I'm told hoyin said:
Looking forward to it.
you'll have a great time, don't worry about the weather, forecasts are usually only vaguely reliable for a couple of hours in front - and you've got a roof !wish you all a great time, keep safe, here's to the return visits
Hey fellas, a couple of us are doing a similar trip but we're doing snowdon on the Sat and Breacon on the Sun. Would be good to meet up for dinner if you guys are interested.
We are going to Carew Go karting in Pembrokeshire on Sat afternoon and exploring Pendine and Museum of Speed if anyone is keen. I appreciate it's a bit further out.
This is my first proper trip, anything I should be aware of?
