With the popularity of Sunday Service meets on the increase we will look to devise a better arrival signing in system so we can monitor no shows. We don't mind people dropping out last minute, not at all, but it is rather unfair (and a bit lazy) when PHers don't remove themselves from the list.

In fairness I started out at 470ish and ended up getting on the list at 9am so the majority did remove themselves albeit too late if I lived over an hour away.

I suspect the issue is the many in the 400's didn't check the list nor receive the Email telling them they were inside the 350 hence didn't know they had a place.

May I suggest that either :
Those inside the 350 have to confirm they are coming 3-7 days before the event otherwise they are automatically removed
Or an email is sent to the WHOLE list a couple of days before asking them to check / remove themselves ASAP

Looks like it was a good day for all those that turned up. Would love to have been there, meet some folks, look at some nice cars and have the chance to take my pride and joy back 'home'. Checked the list at 6:30 Sunday morning and was just 20-25 places from making the list frown . Bit annoyed with 50-75 no shows but never mind, I need to be more on the ball next time smile

Shortly we'll be able to tell who didn't show and that means we can identify persistent offenders and 'ave a word smile
Myself and 4 other cars came along a little later - prob 9.45 and drove straight in, so whilst our names were on the list, we were not stopped by the PH team or checked off the list so to speak. Don't want to get black listed!!

A great event as usual - thanks to all who organised. Hope the New Astons round the back have some sort of paint protection on them!

Likewise, we got there just after 10 and weren't stopped or ticked off a list.
Great morning all the same, thanks to all involved in the organisation.

Not me! Started off at 463 and as the week went on I had to stop myself from looking at the list too often to see how many places we'd moved up. By the time Saturday came it became a bit of an obsession! How sad am I!!! nerd

Final check when we were about 6th or so in the queue to get in - we ended up at 327 and had a great time!

Thanks to everyone who came along yesterday, I'd say we were about 50 cars shy of the 350 (maybe 75) but what was nice about this event is how long everyone stayed around once they had arrived. Normally we see people leave fairly early but at Aston people tend to stay for longer which was great to see.

Excuses:

My roof is pretty much always up (I want a Cerbera)
Sorry I didn't wave on the M40, I was in a hurry to get there ahead of you!
Thank you. I was at 367 at 1118hrs on the day and it later came out that 50 - 75 did not turn up so thus denying these who wanted to attend a place.

Firstly, thanks to AML and the organisers for such a great event! Fab morning, very relaxed and enjoyable and great to chat to some of the AM staff... particularly the young guy who let myself and my Dad have a sit in the One-77! smile

Secondly, as has been mentioned by others already, we arrived just after 10am after a long drive from the South East and weren't stopped by anyone or checked off any list as we drove straight in! Just for the record, if I hadn't of been able to attend I would've definitely removed my name from the list.

Fantastic day out. SWMBO and I really enjoyed it! Everyone was super friendly and professional. Aston staff were wonderful and so enthuastic!

Only downside was the first picture of my car at an event and some scoundrel parked in front of it ( Garlick, I believe) wink

Ok, so maybe Garlick got there first!

SWMBO was smitten by the AM V8Vantage and had it completely justified before we got home, Watch this space.cloud9
A fantastic day, Thank you to all!

A first attendance at a Sunday Service, really enjoyed it.
Many thanks to AM and PH staff for organising.

Was a bit surprised at the amount of bird dropping damage on all the
astons in the carpark next to the factory..........poor paintwork !
