How nice was that Aston 100 Speedster, I had seen pics of it and was not too sure if I liked it, but Oh Boy seeing it close up and the attention to detail in the interior layout sold me cloud9

Only downside is the British weather, although its not too bad at the moment wink

What a great morning!

Big thanks to the PH team for organising this and braving the suprisingly cold morning to see us all in. Thanks to AM for being great hosts too.

I managed to see some faces I've not seen for years today which was a great surprise and I've met quite a few new ones too.

Oh and thanks to the guy in his 996 C4S for playing wingman back along the M4 with us. The difference in power was just staggering, every time you have it a boot full we were left in your wake! thumbup. The only downsides were some of the numpties on the road and that the Scamera van on the M40.
Massive thinks to PH and AML for another great SS and to top it off I bumped into John Button while filling up near Oxford on the way up so wished his boy a good race for Monza!

A good run home with your lovely sounding GTV V6 – I think I may owe you a bacon sarnie next time out for spotting that Camvan on the M40 and we’ll try to forget about that Overfinch attempting to remove your front bumper!

Until the next one…

I wonder if Mr Garlick would be prepared to nip over to Maranello & arrange something?

I believe Bentley have already been contacted in the past but failed to get back to PH. Bentley would be great as it is only 15 mins from me biggrin

Hopefully we scrubbed off enough speed! I'm pretty sure I saw it straight away and slowed down enough.

And yes, the less said about the 'gentleman' in the Overfinch, the better. Complete nutcase.

Is your exhaust system standard on the 911? Sounded great when you gave us a few flybys so I had assumed it must have been aftermarket.

Great event, although the car park could have been busier. lots of great cars there. What I love best is how friendly everyone is, nobody minds having a brief chat about their car.

Thanks again Pistonheads smile

Some great pics there bud, particularly like the 458 headlight. Out of interest, what lense did you take them with?

Cheers smile. I mostly used a Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 EX DG lens with a circular polariser (inc. for the headlight shot). Some of the shots I took using a Nikon 35mm f1.8 AF-S DX (also with a CPL) and I often prefer the results from that lens if I can frame a shot with it, but it's obviously not as flexible as the Sigma "walkabout" zoom.

PS there's also often a reasonable amount of tweaking tone curves and a few other things for my final images - I shoot in RAW and then use either darktable or AfterShot Pro (similar to Lightroom) to set the tone curve and often a few other adjustments.

Thanks.

Its factory fit switchable sports exhaust and standard air box, with a K&N filter which makes it a little fruitier at the top of the rev range as the airflow is better.

Always makes me smile!
