You're Mr. globalsupercars.co.uk smile Fantastic site, I saw some of your pics on Facebook.
Very kind; thank you. From your PH profile I can make an educated guess at who you are now, too. smile

(That sounded less stalkery in my head...)

Just doing a first pass of my photos now. Busy times at the moment but I hope to have them up this week.

Brilliant show as ever; thank you for organising it! I brought a non-PH friend along and he thoroughly enjoyed the cars and the atmosphere. smile

MONEY RAISED

We've counted and re-counted the donations and are a little surprised that we've raised less than in 2012 at this stage, but we must wait until we can get the gift aid envelopes to the hospice to be opened and counted and find out how much the canteen raised before we give a grand total for the event.

In 2012 we had nearly £1500 donated online, and we're far behind on that.

If you didn't manage to get to the event, or feel guilty for sneaking out without emptying your pockets, please consider donating to this amazing charity that sits just a field away from Caring with Cars - and don't forget to encourage your friends, co-workers or just shout at people on the street to get themselves to the following address:

www.justgiving.com/cwc2014

We hope to be able to present a Grand Total early next week with a break-down of the donations where possible. I can even tell everyone how many 1p coins there were.

Many thanks,

Graham and the CWC organisers

Ah, nor mine! (Though not surprised!)

That said, I believe it was the only MR2 Roadster there... So quite rare! hehe
I think there are a few of you taken in convoy, so admittedly probably not the best shots. Flickr link of mine was posted a bit higher up.

I genuinely don't think the turnout would be any less if a 'suggested donation' of £5 a car was in place for next year.

Please be a next year, me and my family had a great time!

I'll be surprised with the amount who went if this event does not make a good amount Graham. I know me and my mate who went gave £30-40.

Just wondered if anyone could have the cheek to go and not put their hand in their pocket

Right! Here are my photos.

Along with the XJR-15 and the Ultima, this had to be one of my favourite cars of the day; outrageously ginger! biggrin

I would suggest that along with the marshalls who directed us in there should be someone there on the entry road asking for a donation on the way in, I would have chucked some cash in and so bought plenty of raffle tickets and then as we didn't win weeping I then bought one of the last prizes in the auction at the end for my son, he really wanted to go to Mclaren to ask Ron for a job! (He's only 10)The point being I felt a decent amount of donation was needed.
I think if anyone went along to such a good event and didn't donate at least £20 along the way (less than the petrol to get there!!!) that they need to think hard about those kids that need our help, we can afford the toys, just look at the photos, so we can manage to give some more.
Can I suggest for next year that perhaps the raffle has a few auction items too, this would cover the breaks whilst any queue in the raffle winners is dealt with!?
Once again, brilliant event, well organised.

Hi all,

Thanks for a great day from Infinity-Exhausts, We are not sure who won our raffle prize of £200 off a custom exhaust, Please get in contact with us and we can discuss options. We would very much like to come again next year. I didn't bring my Type RA impreza and regretted it as there was not a single classic shape Impreza there.

A few bits of constructive criticism:

1. In order to gain the most money for charity a charge of £5 or more on arrival in order to park, Everyone would be happy to pay this.

2. More plugging of events happening through out the day, we had a lot of people asking to sign up for sound comp even when it was happening, I think people could be charged £2 to enter the sound comp.

3. I think both the Auction and Raffle should be done earlier as when I watched the auction from the back of the Monster truck there were maybe 10 people there, they all left after the raffle.

These are only ideas to help bring in some more money on what was a great day, It would be a shame not to run it next year.

Ross,

I have some time this evening to email all the raffle prize donators with details of who won their prize. smile

It's all been a bit hectic since Sunday.
