Wilton Classic and Supercar 2014 update
How better to introduce the Wilton rally stage than with a few Group B icons?
The parkland around the spectacular Wilton House will echo to the bark of engines and scrabbling tyres as some of the most legendary Group B rally cars will undertake high speed runs along the gravel track in the valley floor. It's nearly 30 years since Group B was outlawed, but thanks to Slowly Sideways a thrilling selection of these groundbreaking cars will be evoking past glories spectacular fashion. Think Metro 6R4, Audi Quattro S1, Lancia 037 Rallye and more.
The run will be easily visible (and certainly audible) from the main house. For those who want to get as close as possible to the action, it will be but a short walk.
Slowly Sideways was founded by Reinhard Klein, who wanted a way of showcasing the rally cars from the 1970s, 80s and 90s in action, as modern regulations bar them from competition unless subject to extensive modifications. This is a unique opportunity to see the cars that changed the face of rally driving forever with their innovative engineering and extraordinary performance.
Added Attractions
As usual, Wilton Classic and Supercar will feature the annual supercar parade, a hypercar paddock and classic car displays sponsored by EFG International Bank, as well as an even bigger and better catering village and the incredible Inch Perfect Motorcycle display team.
Once you've bought your ticket, make sure you secure your place in our parking area by signing up to the calendar here. See more details on the Wilton website here.
Mr. Grumpy.
Having said that, word is going to spread fast. Unfortunately it won't be long before there will be too many people around. The hypercar parade was already difficult to get a good view on, and that's the main event. Get in this year before it gets too crazy

We strive to be the most accessible, affordable and family friendly show in the country. My ethos from the outset is that a family should be able to enjoy a picnic on the extensive lawns whilst still having views of some of the worlds most exceptional cars. ( Unlike some other shows where you have to climb over the heads of others to even sneak a peek! )
Just have a look at our photo galleries and you'll see how open and spacious we are! http://www.wiltonclassicsupercar.co.uk/gallery/
This year with the introduction of the rally stage and also another new display we cannot announce just yet, we should have expanded the show ground by yet another 20% so there will be plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the cars to the full.
We should have almost unlimited parking for the general public this year, however I will stop selling tickets if I feel the show is going be too busy. The parking for PH and Classic and Sports Car will be limited however due to space, so get in there quick! We strive also to keep the traffic to a minimum however there still tend to be busier times, but even these should result in a wait of no more than 5-10mins.
Other good news is that we have already signed up to at least 50% more catering outlets and four times more trade outlets !
So please keep your feedback coming, good and bad, as it is the best way of improving our service to you and we will endeavour to put on what we consider to be the most enjoyable and family friendly car enthusiasts event in the UK.
Your fellow lover of all things motoring,
Lord Pembroke
I have just received in the post my two Premium Tickets together with a wonderful lunch time menu. If there are any other members that wish to meet up and convoy from the Dartford, Kent area then contact me to arrange.
Anyone also wishing to join me (2) for one of the 2 course lunches, perhaps we could get a table together, again contact me to dsicuss.
Look forward to seeing you all and enjoying a great day out.
Paul

Potentially being a moron but have never signed up to a pistonheads event before...have gone independently in the past. Where did you get your tickets? Anything to do with Pistonheads or just from the Wilton Car website? I am booked in the PH Calendar for the show if that makes any difference?
Thanks,
Freddy

I assume upon entry that there will be some indication where club groups park and/or confirmation via this news thread of car park location as I anticipate that there will be a large attendance.
What time is good to arrive. I am travelling from Dartford, Kent so plan to leave 7am and allow 3hours (120miles) and arrive between 9-10am.
I hear that some car groups are requesting members to be there by 8.30am?

As you can see, Lord Pembroke is a long-standing PH'er and part of the ethos of the show is about being inclusive and accessible, despite the inescapable grandeur of the setting and the calibre of exhibits. Both he and I agree there's more than enough pomp and circumstance available at other events; WCS is aimed squarely at the kids with supercar posters on their walls, the enthusiasts who meet up and go for a drive at the crack of dawn on a Sunday, and admirers of the finest cars from yesteryear who appreciate the history and the legends behind them. That basically just describes the two of us!

The PH / Classic and Sports Car parking paddock is within the grounds of Wilton House and situated right next to the action of the rally stage, as well as obviously being close to the other main attractions. It'll be clearly signposted as you approach Wilton House.
