Anyone on here take a ride in my GTR - reg started DA59. I was there all Saturday and Sunday to lunchtime.
I think my mechanic was - looks like Jasper Carrot (sorry Jamie!). He just came into my office with a bill and he was raving about having been in a GTR chasing an SLS and something else round the track.

The SLS was mega quick, I reckon that was one of the fastest cars of the weekend, it seemed to pull like a freight train!I was lucky enough to be out on track with it at the same time for a while:

The SLS and myself had a number of "playful" laps - lets just say we kept each other honest.I was lucky enough to be out on track with it at the same time for a while:

He was one of the few with big bhp that actually wasn't shy in using all of it which was what made him look fast.

Nice of you to take photos of all the cars I passed....Getting a close-up on Chris Evan's La Ferrari made the day, and as last year he was really laid back about folks getting in, touching, taking photos etc.
David
I was doing Sporting Bears rides and on returning from one of the rides there was a Ferrai in front blocking the way at the last marshall's post... now I realise, that odd looking rear end was Chris Evans... if only I'd known...
If anyone has any photos or video footage of the Sporting Bears it would be much appreciated if I could get a link or two... ;o)

Really??
My estimated costs:
Fuel £175
Brake pads RS29 all round - 25% wear £200
Tyre wear - 10% wear £120
So thats almost £500 without trying!!
David
Concur. I went through around 75% of my spare pads (my RS29 were too worn and spares did not arrive in time) I also munched through my PZeros @£230 per corner. Fuel was around £150 for me excluding travel to and from. But I don't even care as it was for a cracking cause and would have happily done it all week!! If each driver covered costs of around £400 and there were 60 drivers than that's £24,000 - not bad going (obviously that's excluding any Ferrari and Maserati mating damage )My estimated costs:
Fuel £175
Brake pads RS29 all round - 25% wear £200
Tyre wear - 10% wear £120
So thats almost £500 without trying!!

Fuel, including the trip there and back, £160
Brake pads, negligible, the Atom is good like that.
About 25% of the rear tyres and 10% of the fronts, so £130
B&B for two nights, £120
