It is very very half hearted.
I have to agree. Like BTaP, it seems in danger of being cancelled due to lack of interest when very little effort appears to have been made to generate that interest. (I'm sure that plenty of organisation has been done behind the scenes and I am not in any way knocking it, not am I trying to be negative; I'm just making an observation)
There's a separate Sunday service thread for Sunday attendance http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
The whole thing is a complete joke.
Its been 4 days since the latest 'update' and pretty much every comment since then has been negative. You'd think that as organiser eybic (or anyone in the PH team) would come on and try to drum up some positive PR for this event, or in the very least have the decency to answer some of the questions raised by members.
It's not even as if he can say he's been too busy as you can easily see he's been posting in other sections of the forum.
It's very bizarre behaviour, and also quite rude. No doubt this post along with everyone else's will be ignored.
Save your money people.

Agreed. Just a post if acknowledgement would be useful.
I suspect ticket sales have been pretty low. But what is to be expected. Charging 50 quid a head along with the power of hay market should allow for a pretty decent weekend to be organized, but we're fobbed of with messages about secure camping and a wheel change competition.
If this is something PH actually want to support and promote or is it being run as a token gesture?
At present it seems much more like the latter..... And while this is the case im highly unlikely to make any sort of commitment.

I'm sorry, I can't remember or seem to find where you have asked a question, all you seem to have decided is that I am intentionally making this event fail, yes of course I am, you've got me there Its been 4 days since the latest 'update' and pretty much every comment since then has been negative. I will have some more news early next week for those that are interested and might want to attend rather than negatively commenting on a thread for an event they have no intention of attending
When we posted in April http://www.pistonheads.com/gAssing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
the feedback was positive, not a lot has changed with the planning but seemingly people have changed their minds. As I said, I'll update again in a few days.

Also the longer you leave it to announce the 'headline' events/acts then the greater the chance is that people will book for other events on the same weekend, meaning that your target market is rapidly shrinking. There are a lot of events on over the summer months already. Obviously when you a festival like Glastonbury, you don't need to announce headline acts until you are well into ticket sales!!
I'm sure that you are working hard, but it really does seem very half hearted to the layman.
In my personal opinion, you should bin this years event, you know there is interest from your April feedback, and start organising a 2015 event, where you could do a 'big bang' approach, and make a proper announcement around Easter for an event later in the summer.
(Hopefully you will view the above as constructive!!!)
