The Sportsmans Arms is not open as a Pub these days. It does have a car park though the residents might be a bit peed off if 40 of you try to stop there.
Try and get to the Groes Inn near Conwy for your Lunch.
Thanks I was also going to suggest the Groes Inn, but it is quite a way off the evo triangle.Try and get to the Groes Inn near Conwy for your Lunch.
I had heard that the sportsmans arms was closed too,,but not been there for a few years.
I am sure we can all agree on a suitable place to meet up,between now and the 22nd!

Try The Brondanw Arms at Garreg which is not far from Beddgelert. you will all get in the car park and food is excellent.
There is also a great route from the top of the EVO triangle to Conwy (Also taking you right to a Shell V power station. I'll pm you the route if your like
depending on if anything else is going on there at the same time what about the Visitors Centre at Llyn Brennig
I think you'll find it difficult to assemble 40 cars in that area, quite rightly any commercial concerns won't want 40 cars blocking parking for their customers even if it's only for a short time

if you think it's suitable for a narrow slower car with plenty of twists in the roads then could you please PM it to meI've not done an exact route yet, but this map gives an indication of the roads we would like to cover.
We start off by going through the Mersey Tunnel then head towards Ruthin, or maybe Denbigh so we can come into the Triangle from the North.
As for eating at an establishment, I'm not particularly bothered about eating, I'll grab something from a garage en route.

Looks like your going though flint on the A548 or nearby on the A55 ?. , So if its ok I will meet you there ?, Hopefully H will be with me, If that's sounds ok with you can you let me know a time to meet you there, (we can find a meeting point somewhere around the area) We can swop mobile numbers as well by PM when it gets a bit nearer the time, Cheers Tim.
as with Sunday the roads are too wide and straight for my narrow slow car I wouldn't be on most of them (as we weren't on Sunday, no one followed us, we were first to leave moving the queue for catering and worrying those sat at the entrance kerb that were only used to modern wide cars )
... and you'd have a bit of a wait we're not going to Wales until September
