There's a Motofest in Cov this weekend. Various stuff, celebration of Covs motoring history! and apparently PH Sundayservice according yo their website. So who is going and are RS6s allowed to Sunday service?

I don't think there is any sort of Sunday service on there mate, (unless a few piston headers are having there own min meet) If your looking for a good car meet and drive tomorrow have a look in Northants section under Dove house meet and run out it's a great meet with some fantastic cars there and not to far for you in you live in and around Coventry,

Odd that cause it mentions a PH Sunday service on the Motofest website. Popped up earlier, there's an ACE cafe stand, and I think there's a run from ace cafe to cov tomorrow. Also some racing cars racing under the ring road.

Hi,

I'm one of the organisers of Coventry MotoFest. I did post up a thread on here twice to let folk know it was happening but on both occasions the thread was removed by Pistonheads admin for reasons unknown. MotoFest is a completely free event which was made perfectly clear in the threads....

Anyway, we are hoping to run the event again in 2015...the feedback is overwhelmingly positive.

There were initially plans to hold a Pistonheads Sunday Service as we had secured a nearly car park to allow modern machinery to park up but the Sunday Service idea never progressed.

Regards
Matt Phillips

That's a shame - a PH Sunday service would have been good. As it was the weekend was great, I really enjoyed it and hope it becomes an annual event!

Agreed that is a great shame.
What say you PH Admin? This is a free event promoting the UK and Coventry's car history, something most petrolheads would have an interest in. What's the issue?
It was a good event, I enjoyed it and so did the kids. Could have been promoted a big more, but hope fr bigge things next year. And I want to get on the ring road run, preferably racing wink

Haymarket own PH and a lot of other sites and brands, have you upset them or are in competition with them - I'm suprised they knocked back a free event but if it promotes a competitor that might be the reason(?)

We are not sure sure why the Sunday Service offer wasn't taken up but we would love to have a Sunday service at Motofest for 2015. Anyway, you may have seen the announcement on the BBC 6pm news and other places introducing our partner the BARC for Coventry Motofest - http://youtu.be/TheTE55tdlM

We also announced last week that Jaguar-LandRover are building our pace car as part of our schools competition - news item here http://www.driving.co.uk/news/news-jaguar-land-rov...

Matt

A Motofest Sunday Service would be great - I've quoted your post in the Sunday Service venue suggestion thread.
