If you are still undecided, why not put your name forward anyway - it's a free event, costs nothing to sign up for, and even when signed up you are not committed until the final date is voted on.. and it's even easy to sign up to.. pop a post up here in the thread, email me at stephen.sheldon@solidlinux.co.uk, or even whatsapp me your details at 07914116375. So go on, you know your car deserves a Christmas break, and you deserve good conversation, food, mugs of tea, and some great cars to look around.. why not put your name forward?

Hi fella..

I see you've posted 20 of the 21 posts on this thread (jamie being the other). Is this not spamming?

There is no need to repost your whole initial thread, just update the list if you feel you need to.

Us PHers are simply people. Please make it simple for us by adding the date, time and location details to the header post in bold.

Hi there,

First of all apologies if I have upset you or given problems with my methodology. There was no intention to do so..
The master feed for the planned meet, and past meets are carried at jaguarforums.com, and by moving up one level from the details of the last meet you can access the main feed about the next meet.
The feed tends to be more a progress report, and the start of encouraging attendees (bearing in mind the larger the numbers the more I can try to swing things for us) in the early days - new people signing up, progress with Jaguar dealership involvement, and currently working hard on JLR theirselves to see if I can reduce the costs to attendees even more.
As the date approaches it becomes much busier with attendees discussing who's coming, who with etc etc.
Meanwhile you are very welcome to see the current main thread at http://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-68/uk-south-e... if you like.
Apologies again, and if you have any other issues at all please feel free to email me, or post here, or whatsapp me.

No offence taken fella.. just giving my opinion..

My first impressions were that you are desperately trying to bump this to the top of the events section, which will obviously perceived as spamming.

There is no point posting up an event where there are no details imho.

Most organisers post up the initial details and let the event gain mommentum through the community. We just want a list that we can copy and paste, then add ourselves to..

Just sit back, let it build and have a beer

PS... chuck me on the list..

Do you want to attend just the meet, or the meet and the convoy? As soon as I know your preferences I'll add you in.. and what year is your Focus?
Many thanks

Hi there it will be a Sunday morning in December - usually a month or so in advance I put the available dates up (when there is nothing else happening in Madiera Drive) and the date that gets the most 'votes' is the one we go for. It is usually an early meet at Pease Pottage with a cruise down the A23 to Madiera Drive, setting up there.. everyone off for a big breakfast at fixed cost before the car viewings and group photos for the forums.
I'll pop you down for it if you are Ok with it.. :-)

Hi Guys,

I have had a response from Jaguars Senior Manager for Sponsorship & Brand Partnerships saying that they view the Bi-Annual meet as a UK opportunity, and I have moved onto another member of Jaguar staff that deals with UK sponsorship.. I am somewhat more hopeful now that we can achieve a degree of support from JLR theirselves for our event.. I will keep you guys updated as I go, bearing in mind it has taken quite a few months to get this far with Jaguar :-) I will keep plugging away as I really feel that we have a great event, and if we can get support from Jaguar theirselves there is so much more we can do for us and the cars we love so much..

OK I have the (currently) final response from Jaguar..

.. we are not taking on any new projects at the moment - got a lot on our plate!

I gave it a go :-( and apologies for failing, but not to worry I will revisit them next year in case the situation changes :-)

Meanwhile we still have our meet to organise.. I am still anticipating Harwoods Jaguar attending the meet along with a showroom car, and advice on servicing, and sales - any one interested in coming along in December please pop a post up her or drop me an email and I'll add you in. It is sure to be a great day, breaking up the winter doldrums we are all suffer with...

Yes I know this is an age off.. but I usually start things off quite a way in advance.. now I know winter is usually a dark grey sort of time of year with plenty of rain, wind, and bad weather leaving us little choice but to hunker down in front of a TV watching archived film clips of our favourite cars on TopGear..
In south east UK we don't do this - we organise our bi-annual Brighton convoy & meet!
It's a great chance for you to have a break from the Christmas rush and shopping and to have some time with great company, fantastic cars, a mug of tea and something to eat..
Depending on how many people are interested I will try to get something more organised if I can..

In case you are wondering - this will be the third Bi-Annual Brighton meet and the details of the last one can be found here: UK South East Meet Spring/Summer 2014 in Brighton if you want to check it out..

I still think this Steve.

No other PHers have expressed interest, yet you still seem desperate to force this to the top of the events section when the event is months away.

As and when updates occur I post them.. whilst I take what you say onboard I do not see posting updates as spamming, and on that I believe we will likely never agree.. people are listed against where they posted an interest, not the forums that they frequent, and I believe you will find that the majority do not only frequent the forums that they are listed against, but also other forums such as PH. However if I refrain from posting updates, and you from raising it back up the lists by posting about spamming I believe your issue with this thread will fade into the past :-) I hope that this will solve the issue as you see it :-)

Hi Steve
If you don't mind an interloper being put down as a possible then could you add me to the list?
I'll happily do the convoy from Pease Pottage and currently don't have any preference on any of those dates but if pushed would probably prefer one of the first two Sundays
